So, it seems that i thought. Berserker get more solidus Damage and a bonus because he is dualwielder. On the other hand savage get a damage boost with his self buff and a quadhit. Seems to be a question of how i wanna play :D

Damn, cant decide.

What do you think? Which class deals more damage in pve? (not counting things like charge, det etc.!). I think the svage have way better styles than beserker, am i right?

I miss Ati in this Thread :D

For PvE svg is Awesome, for RvR its more for playstyle.
Svg have very nice styles BS, After Eveid, Side

Cause i'm a svg LOVER ALOT then i suggest you to roll a savage . . .

1 main reason why to have svg in RvR is that u will hit with 1h 40% of the time, so the druids/clerics see no treath about you and consentrate on something else than healing your target, but then suddenly u do like QUAD QUAD and ur target is dead... and guess what whine follows in that grp after ? :D

And svg have nice melee sists + eveid + cap attack speed 24/7 + full end 24/7.

Even when hitting with only 1hand (1hit) savages still outdps any "heavy tank" class on uthgard, such as lw/spear hero or pole armsman which is so wrong.

svg 1h outdmges a bersi...

lets make a little claculation:
svg, about 60 qui even as a troll. +75+90(buffs and sc), and as savage i would ask for d/q more than for s/c because it boosts dmgstat and combatspeed.
Using 2 4,0 weapons, savage hits with roughly 1,6 combatspeed. In addition a savage gets 25% basedmg buff. And a savage hits for roughly same dmg per hit as a zerk(without selfbuffs). It looses lots of styledmg due to the 39% selfhaste and high qui, but this tremendous attackspeed without cele owns. Though the hastemalus is compensated by 0,9 gr anytimer and up to 1,4 gr positionals.

Now a trollzerk, using 4,0 mainhand and a 3,0 offhand.
35+75 qui, +30 buffqui, i would prefere str/con on zerk because dmg depends 100% on str. This results in 2,9 combatspeed without a healers cele. Well, a savage hits about 2 times faster, for slightly less damage per hit, but even if a savage hits with 1h only, it still overdamages a zerker(without cele).

Thats how it usually looks in rvr.

THIS!!! I LOLED!
Usually a druid/cleric start casting heals as soon as a savage is in range to any target. If 3 savages are close to a caster, they dont even bother wasting mana, just get a rezz ready, start casting it so that by the time the cast is finished, the savages target drops and is ready to accept the rezz^^.

Usually, when a svg sits on a caster about 9 seconds, 1 supporter is OOM, when a svg performs 2-3 tripples and maybe 1 quad in between, even 2 clerics/druids are no longer able to outheal the dmg, done by 1 svg.
Even a warden can outheal a zerker over 9+ seconds(maybe in zerkmode he wont, but usually no problem).

So, actually the choice to play is obvious.

Want to see only one Savage that outdamages a Berserker only with mainhand. Savages hit for round about 180-240 damage Mainhand. Saw Berserkers hitting for about 300 damage mainhand only. Go and play a Berserker and a Savage. You will see Berserkers are better.
They miss only half as much and as long as Savages don't do tripple hits (which they do only round about 15% of all hits) Berserkers deal more damage. Berserkers even got better realm abilities like charge and they count as real dual wielders. So they are extremely hard to block or evade.

DMG per HIT, or DPS???

DMG per HIT, zerk is better.

DPS, only ignorant and absolutely blind midgard players think that zerk is better.

I have neither in considerable levelrange.

How about you move your mighty savage towards the lvl 50 dol in jordheim and hit it for 1 minute with your backstyles and your chants.
Then ask a mighty lvl 50 bersi to do same(with or without zerkmode should not play any difference, cause hell get outdamaged for sure) and compare your damage per minute.
Also, note that either you both are unbuffed or you both have same shammy/healer/charges buffed.
IF you manage to find a bersi that will overdamage your savage without vendo, ill give you 5p in any realm! OFC under fair sircumstances, not like svg hitting unstyled without selfbuffs vs fullbuffed zerk with vendo and cele or something like that.
I still remember this thread pretty good. Even though savages lost 3% quadhit-chance, their dmg should not have dropped too much: http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... ght=minute

On sidenote, i do not know if i have 5p on hib, since i started crafting mp armor there recently.

It's funny how you quote me and start talking about zerkers whereas I only mentioned 2h tanks. Good for you mate.

Did you allready recognize that dolls can't evade, parry or block, got no stats and no armor at all? Thought we were talking about Savages in real RvR and PvM and not in a laboratory.

Id like to see how a caster(usually first target) is able to evade, parry or block your attacks, while PBT reduces a zerkers dps much more than that of a savage.

All other things are about luck and armor...

And since were talking about armor, zerk can usually have 1 dmgtype. Once can doublespec for 2 dmgtypes, but then they loose ws and parry, while savage has the two better damagetypes by default(h2h spec), and with those two a savage can always hit on vulnerable armor when fighting primary supporters for example.

Wow you're soooo right! Pbt reduces the damage of Berserkers much more because they hit with both weapons everytime and Savages only hit with more than 1 weapon 25% of the time. Yes casters are not able to evade, parry or block but the tanks guarding them are able to block. It's for example nearly impossible to kill a Sorc while a Pala is guarding it with a Savage. A berserker gets through the block easily.

pbt ticks every 6 seconds and therefore interrupts up to each second zerkers hit, while a savage lands 2-3 hits between the pbts. Dont you even know how fast the class hits, that you played for 4 years?

Lets say, a pally blocks about 60% of your attacks, while bersi halves a pallys block down to 30%. Still you hit about two times faster than the bersi, therefore your dps still does remain close, even if it feels as if the pally blocks most of your hits.

Whats the difference? example:
you attack 30 times in 1 minute, but 80% of your attacks get blocked. How many hits do you land? 6 hits, am i right?
zerk attacks 15 times in 1 minute, but only 40% of his attacks get blocked. How many hits does he land? 9 hits, am i right?

So, EVEN IF a good deftank(with capped blockchance as in my example) manages to come in range for guard, you loose some dps, but still rupt a lot better!

Usually tanks have about 60% blockchance therefore you land 12 hits while zerk lands 11. The worser the blocktank the better your performance, not that of a bersi!

Explaining math to someone who ran around with 70% con weapons for a looong time and complaining about damage is a big no no.
