Thinking of starting up here, but the last time I had played was when CC was king and there was plenty of upset aug specced gimp mobiles running around. I had a primary CC/secondary healing healer at the time and man it was fun.

Are things here similar? Or is everyone PBAOEing everyone else? What stage of DAOC would you compare this server to as pertains to a healer? Or are healers in much demand here?

Thanks!

any healer is really wanted afaik :)

many tank trains here (or hybrid)

not many mid caster grps out that run full caster or bomb grps :)

so pac/heal or aug/heal is good :)

PBAOE groups are way too 2k3. It's hybrid all the way on this server. Most if not all mid groups run one pac and aug healer.

PBAE was all the rage up into NF, especially with the warlock. I think you'd see it more if we had old RAs or some kind of cast speed bonus and 100% MoC. You'd think between intercepting pet and guard an SM should be able to get by without moc anyway though.

imo, zerkers and dual-wielding classes are the 'shiz' right about now, charge III+ det V= teh sexy

2h damage is gimp, 1h damage is lol, casters get resisted alot, purge III (imo) doesn't come around enough to play a caster (disease, root, mezz, stun,NS), if i would've known this, i would've rolled a zerker, honestly.

EDIT: no cure NS either, so if u get NS'd and ur purge is down, you are SoL :(

It should be said that Albs and Hibs are the most in need of players, especially the Hibs.

it is definitely the hibs who need help population wise. alb and mid are about even right now as far as active players by population. this is according to the herald statistics, at least.
