Like title says, many wariors in Mid go 50 hammer spec and hit albs/hibs in chain with such a low dmg, this spec should be fine in my opinion : 50 sword/axe ,29 hammer,50 shield,10parry using 1h hammer and 2h axe/sword weapons.

You have conquer style to snare the targets on 1h, and 29+15 at rr5 will still deal dmg VS weak targets to crush, also provoke with low end etc.
You have slash dmg wich is neutral to albs in chain and with +10% to dmg VS hibs in scale , hiting them 2h with =10% dmg vs albs and +20% dmg vs hibs in scale compared to hammer dmg.

WHat you loose :
- dmg on 1h will variate more and will be lower .
- you have 10 parry instead of 26 parry.

I l post a template for this spec under Midgard > SC templates

You loose 28 (or 31 AT) parry.

I think all those weapon switching speccs in Midgard are just too nerdy just for the bit of more damage in some situations.

However, I agree with not every warrior has to do the crush thing. Its the only class in midgard that can and will actually use the highest weapon styles of axe and sword line. Of course last hammer style included, but it feels wasted since its the second parry chain. So yes, there isnt a higher force to keep warriors have to use all hammers all day.

Btw I dont see that high percentage of crush warriors.

That "bit" of more dmg is + 10% VS alb chain clases, and +20% vs scale hib clases ..

If you will look around u ll see that more then 75% of the wariors are hammer spec.

You're doing it wrong.

50 axe, 42 shield, 39 hammer if you want to maximize damage output. 50 shield is completely redundant and you only lose damage with your hammer with 29 spec. 29+15 will not do good damage on uthgard. 2h already has low overall damage and huge variances with extremely poor lower peaks, missing points will only make it worse.

You dont hit 2h with hammer, you have 1h hammer for snare only and 2h sword/axe for dmg, 50 shield needed to guard

42shield is all you need

39hammer can actually do ok dmg with enough rr... 29 is just waste.

gonna wanna use hammer vs bm's and arms/pala

going 39 instead of 50 on a 2H line will e 5.5% less base dmg, and a little bit less style dmg. Maybe 6.X% less dmg total I would guess when styling and 5.5% less when not. Should be worth it if you're getting 10%+ from armor tables.

I had the same idea and did 50sword, 42 shield 41?hammer ........

i played it for like 1 mounth ......

..... and it sucked :(

With sword styles + slam you will be perm ooe. Even LW2 didnt help me.

Without end and no backsnare you wont do much dmg at all because targets are kiting you.

Snare on charge tank -> no charge. That is far more important than a little bit more dmg.

Thats just my 2 cp

Now i am cookie cutter spec: 50 hammer, 50 shield, rest parry.

Snare when you gotta snare, and do dmg when is the good moment, u were ooe with sword styles? backstyle is medium fatigue, anytimer is medium fatigue..and u dont hit em all day, with sham near you i think u l never ran ooe:P, yet if shamy dies u l runn ooe hiting hammer styles also and slam.

Actually, when you use a 2h sword for Damage and you are forced to move while hitting, even Endu Pots won´t keep your Endu up forever. If you get Cele kicking in its even worse, you are ooe by just standing behind your target spamming Ragnarök, not to talk about using slam aswell.

Anyways, since 39+11 Weapon and 50+11 Weapon doesn´t make much of a difference damagewise, yes, you can easily go 39 Hammer 42 Shield 50 Sword to have bonus damage in some situations. But anything below 39 Hammer and anything above 42 Shield is just a waste.
