Caster RAs

What RAs do you get as a caster, and in what order? I play a SM, and usually solo pvp, I just can't figure out the best RA combo to pvp with.

Im also curious about shammy. I know the power recovery (i forget the name of the ra :O) and purge are essential....what else?

shaman should also pick up Ichor and MoC imo. Might as well get a bit of aug dex too.


For SM I would get some Aug dex, WP, MoM and Aug Acuity, raising in that order, for damage passives. And look at juggernaut, purge and possibly MoC for actives.

As solo dark SM I would go for purge 2, than Moc 1,2 and 3 first, you should be able to win most 1vs1 with the life leech.

id forget about juggernaut for SM for now, the pets just dont do any damage in melee, only time a SM pet would really deal damage would be with jugger 3 and you can get a lot of other useful RAs instead of that

for 1v1 purposes id even go as far as recommending purge 3, havent run solo for a while now but back when there was much 1v1 action in agramon/NF it was very likely to have less than 15 minutes between the fights and if you're honest, you really need purge in most fights (stun, nearsight etc...)
i ran with moc3 purge3 for a while but that eats all your points if you're "only" 7L0
i guess i wouldnt spec like that any more now

rather get some more dex, serenity is an absolute must imho, WP and MoM up to 3 at least before you get yourself aug acuity ...but thats just my personal opinion ;)

Purge 3 MCL 1 Sere 3 and after that you can think about other toys.But those are a must if you want to be able to kill more then 1 inc in 15 minutes (at least vs. most targets)

jugg1 for an SM would be for the increase in intercept rate, if it works here like it does on live that is.

I doubt the intercept rate could get any higher, if it did it would be 100% :D

I always remember my pet absorbing basically every hit until it died on live when I hit ML9 on my SM. poor man's MoC but no loss of dmg.

On uthgard it won't die though, it takes almost no damage when intercepting.

Not just on Uthgard. The pets were tested in detail on live before implementation of intercept.

Level 44 pet died in 6 intercepts against an unbuffed savage... On uthgard they just never die because you hit the pet for 30 damage when it intercepts. Even fullbuffed it's hopeless. Really anyone not blind would see a problem here ^^

Its not a joke. In our tests all spiritmaster pets got 1/3 of the damage. Maybe something is different when styles are in use? Try unstyled hits. I'm currently not sure whether AF of the spiritmaster itself is used. But that would make no sense.

And it should be clear why the pet died faster on live. You do way more damage at all. Not only against the pet. => See 368 (-129)

Yup it died on live because it takes full damage when intercepting. On uthgard it takes like 10% damage.
