You have not enough skill to imbue that much

Hi folks,

I'm a low level spellcrafter and am trying to spellcraft a lovely dagger that Megrim made for me but I keep getting the above message. Does anyone know how to calculate how much you can imbue per spellcraft level?

For reference it has 20 imbue points available and I'm trying to use two rough gem and two uncut gems.

I can add one rough and two uncut no problems but when I try to add two rough and an uncut it refuses.

Thanks all.

how many imbue points does the gem add up to? if its over 20 you need 1000 skill to overcap

I can't seem to get the imbue count past 15 (one rough and two uncut). I'm not sure what the imbue count is with two rough and one uncut but I would expect about 17.

I'm not doing any overcharging, seems to be a hard limit for some reason. I don't remember this on the classic servers but then again I had lots of money on the classic servers so it was just a case of sit down for 3 solid days and bang out LGM :)

also you need to imbue all 4 gems at once or you won't be able to add the last gem

Ahha - I levelled up to 344 and now I can do two rough and one uncut for a total imbue of 17.5 - I keep going until I get get 20 imbue points and then I should be able to work out the formulae from that.

401 and now I can do the full 20 point imbue. I guess roughly each 100 points equals 5 extra points of imbue ability.

Anyone know if Enchanting is working? I bought some dust but can't seem to craft it onto my dagger.
