hi there,
a few weeks ago the posts in this forum where hibernians complained about other realms beeing way OPed made me rage-roll a hib. today i hit RR5 on my druid. after 2 weeks of leveling i joined like 3 weeks ago the end game RVR. in those 3 weeks i think i got a good picture on the state of the realm. mostly i grouped with random ppls that where coming out to rvr. i also grouped with the high RR's and longtime hibs same as with noobs like me. I learned alot about hib classes, abilities and their weaknesses. my conclusion about realm balance is that hibernian classes are overall well balanced between the realms. yes, if you look on specific classes some could use a little help, but thats aswell the case in the other realms. if you looked at LWRP the past months usual you had in the top 20 only mids and albs, if a hib was in there he was a stealther. the past 3 weeks this has changed drasticaly and today in the top 20 we have 12 hibernia players in the top 20, not a single albion player (now ppls could assume they are in need of a balance !). the past months hibernia was in a bad depression. many players felt like it was because of imbalance. maybe hibernia is a little harder than the other realms. but the past 3 weeks proved me that hibernia has got the turnarround and is going to be prosperous again. pls keep up the good work, make groups that are out of the so called fotm shema. if your old tactics do not work...create new ones...even they sound crazy. if you wipe...dont give up go out again...try it again...every fight is different and every new tactics has to be trained, and training means fail, fail, fail, sucess, fail, fail, fail, sucess, fail sucess, sucess. Hibies come out rvr and be crazy and we beat our enemies ! Best regards Adden btw. if you find some typos... you can keep em. |

I'll just form up FG's of all the reject classes and roll face.

This is completly untrue!
Here the proof, that Midgard is overpowered: http://www.koboldin.de/demhibbies.swf/ ![]() ![]() |

Catiana I can only 100% agree
![]() the difficult part about hibernia is that you HAVE to run casters to perform well.. this leaves little room for errors which essentially makes it harder for new people to the game and pugs to perform well ![]() however once people stop rage quitting after 1-2 losses ![]() |

I disagree ![]() I dont think hibs have to run casters. I have seen hib pain trains that do one hell of a job. Bard druid druid is the only necessary. Eld is nice, but I wouldnt say necessary by any means. A common hib gank group only consists of 1 caster (eldritch) and a bunch of tanks. Ive ran it, and had lots of success. Albs NEEDS a sorc. Mid is easy mode for sure though ![]() In thid, I see a lack of assisting, and a lack of druids. Biggest two problems for hibs. But I am yet to see from hibs side. Im in the process of leveling a bard to thid so I'll find out soon enough ![]() |

I have to say that the hib tank train is nothing compared to mids.. and I hate running in grps with me as only caster... it makes it all just so much more difficult to perform well as a group because it is much easier to take out 1 caster with no fear of getting extended and destroyed that it is to take out 3 casters..
imo.. hib dps = casters.. BMs/heros/whatever imo doesn't cut it.. |

Well, that's right last days were full of casters and it really started to rocked hard, and I think it's just because some players get used to by those two last weeks.
and also because some pugs pug became semi-fix, with same playersmost of the time so... some teamplay has been developped which is in my opinion the most important to success in 8v8. |

He's really right you know. My favorite setup is: 2 druids, 1 Bard, 4 chanters 1 eld. (Bainshee's were omgyes too) We call it the bomb setup. Nothing better then hitting a group before they even know you're there and then smashing them with PBAOE before they can reach for the "Purge" button. But really, the problem with Hibernia is that thier strength doesn't lie in a simple assist train. In a pinch anyone can be a caster assist train, but to utilize each caster it requires a very well disciplined player not to run around like a chicken with his head cut off whenever you see a S/S running at you. @OP No matter what realm you're on, they will QQ if they're in a rut about "overpowered" realms. |

Were you frozen in time for the past, say, 7-8 years ? ^^ [23:53] <@ref^> i once hugged a girl you know

I had to check the topic date to make sure it wasn't posted some years back cause it feels that way.

The only reason Hib is performing 'well' the last 3 weeks is most likely due to the fact that Alb and Mid are not doing their best compared to the last months. When I take a look at the LWRP rate I see the mediocre Hibs topping the board due to intense playing over the last weeks, with merely a glimpse of what used to be the top Alb/Mid players.
When Hib has to try even harder, Alb and Mid just have to try. And whenever Alb and Mid do try, I'd suggest you make your balance conclusions over. 3 weeks of the current RvR is hardly enough to actually have a good feel with Uthgard's balance. To win as a Hib you will always have to sacrifice either Rupts or DPS output. If you don't, you have the weakest of both, which makes it even harder to succeed. Sure, it's possible, but the tools you have to work with are inferior to the enemy's in the current setting. |

blablablabla ... Does it happen that you don't talk about balance? :p
