Hello all,

as the title says I am new to the server, played a long time ago on EU servers. Been reading up on the boards, seems there are a few issues but overall a good server.

My question is: I was thinking of rolling a Hunter, my game time is limited so want a toon I can solo or group and of course have some RVR time.

Any advice on the Hunter issues would be useful, also are there newbie type quests or is it simply grind grind grind?

Cheers

Jayke

Hunter is really bug and weak on this server.

An advice ? If you want to have fun at least, guide you to a Ranger and hibernia.

Is that because of server inbalance issues? or?

It's because the Ranger at 1.80 patch status was the most powerful archer of the 3 realms. The Hunter really sucked until devs put the disease proc on the dog pet.

They can be fun in RvR too, but you need a lot of skill and RR, and even with bboth you'll get probably pwned by low RR rangers/ns/infis/scout/minstrel

Pet damage is lower than it should be.

Defense penetration is not implemented on Uthgard, which harms the Hunter while benefiting the Scout and the Ranger in many situations.

Spear growth rates on Uthgard are lower than all known sources.

A dozen archery bugs and missing features.

I don't believe that there is no hope for the Hunter on Uthgard. If the staff fixed all of these problems the class would be very competitive.

As I leveled up my Hunter, BG's were no problem.
BG's are fun. As long as you wear good equipment and use potions.
The different experience comes when you are out the the BG's...

Imo better off with higher bow because that is where most of your damage comes from on a hunter. Also sword on uthgard on a hunter does not perform live like... but what does for a hunter lol
