In the middle of a heater debate between my alter egos. I'm considering the following specs, and yea i know it all depends on the player, just looking for some feedback.
41 rej, 35 enh gives me better group heal then settlingat 40 and yello str/con
42enh 33 rej, yellow dex/qui and red acuity.
40rej 36 enh. 100% rez and still good boofs.

As far as how i play, Prob single target heals mostly. as i think if you have to spread heal your not doing your job...

I'm 42enh / 33 rej and I'll probably never change it. In my opinion higher heals are not necessary and cost too much power. Yellow dex/qui, shears and so are more important.

And even if I use single heals as much as possible, spread is a the only option in various situations. I guess you'll notice it against disease spam and uncurable nearsights :p
I am assuming direct control.

I agree with Hedra, it's pointless to go over 36 rej cause higher heals will need a lot of power. On the other side is pointless to go less than 40 enh cause you'll miss yellow d/q, some shear and maybe even some resists.

I think the 90-95% of clerics playing uthgard are

40 enh 36 rej

or

42 enh 33 rej.

The first spec gives you a better grp heal and a better grp istant heal
The second spec gives you red acu and aoe acu shear.

Pick the one wich suits you more, there isn't such a big difference.

Smite cleric FTW !
Considering that mid always run with 3 heals (2 healer/1shamy) and hib can run with 4 (druid/bard/warden/menta),a smite cleric could be a good alternative to be third heal in alb grp. With only 23 heal you can have a decent heal support with low mana consumption,2 IH,DI and can do range damage and Instant mezz.

My smite spec is 44 smite 23 heal 21 buff

How was said suitable choises and probably most often are 42enh/33rej or 40enh/36rej

The Smite spec died when back in the day there was no Cleric without 46 in Smite line, and all alb groups ran with no heals. After the 33% nerf on Smite line and the huge mana waste that those spells costs, no Cleric with a brain will spec Smite for group-RvR.

Noone.

Smite cleric is just ridiculously useless ^^
If you really want a 3rd support in alb groups (not needed imo but whatever), even a friar or a 50 buffs cleric would be more useful :P

even if you want to run 3 clerics (which dont really fit into an alb grp) another buff/heal cleric would still be better then a smite cleric as buffshears/more buffs/heals are way better then some laughable smite damage.

even a ****** friar would be better then a smite cleric

if you want damage: play a cab
