Hey guys,

Just curious, what do you think would be a good braemar spec for an inf?

Assuming one autotrains and also if one does not.

At the moment, I am ATing to 32, but will probably put some points into stealth.
Ive heard many different opinions and most people divide into two categories:

34 CS+25 stealth and rest in weapon (usually low), envenom (25ish) and DW
or
high envenom/weapon average dw and almost no stealth - basically mercifltrator.

alternatively, i was also thinking of this:
25 stl (to climb the keep)
21 CS (for PA, but no CD. will have to rely on poison to finish the job and a lot of backstabing)
30 env
30 wep

that;s assuming i dont find any CS items or basically dont buy anything extra that would make my stats go up.

Would suggest to do autotrain at least until lvl40 and then firstly run in Wilton. I just did so and it was amazing

But if you really gonna start to play in Brae, I would go for this spec (at until 32):

34 cs (pa follow up)
27 stealth (+8 )
22 evenom (+8, 30ish dot + 29ish str/con debuff)
25 weapon
7 dw

It wont make sense to spec evenom higher then 22 because you'll lose a lot points that you need for your weapon.

Greetings, Nylea

what about ppl that cant afford to have items that add to skills?

assuming im just going to be using regular items/loot drops and nothing CSed with some occasional items from DF, what spec should I consider?

the reason im going for 30 envenom and 30 weapon is because ill be still going to dungeon and PVEing a lot, so that spec would allow me to do both PVP and PVE just fine

i dont think i would be very effective with a spec that has 15 weapon and constantly stealthing and PA/CDing every mob can get very frustrating:)

what do you guys think?
has anyone tried different specs in brae?

what about wilton? what spec would you suggest

alright, to answer my own question (this is assuming you don;t know/have anyone who can make specialized SC items for you and you;re using either loot drops or DF items)

having done braemar for a few days now, best spec would include the following:

25 stealth + mos 1 ASAP
34 CS if you can afford it, but 21 CS is a must
high envenom, I'd say 30, but 25 works if you want to have 34 CS
rest in weapon and maaaaybe DW

so one spec could be:
env 25
stl 25
34 CS (PA+CD will pwn most players and venom will finish the job)
24 wpn

OR
env 30
stl 25
34 CS
15 wpn
8 dw

but the latter spec will probably be very hard to level in pve due to low weapon level.

overall, i can't stress enough to get 34 CS. it's totally killer and will make a huge difference.
also if you're ATing stealth, don't bother with either of these. you will very unlikely PA/CD anyone. it's very very hard.
25 stl+mos recommended

the spec im using now and doing okay is

env 30
wpn 30
stl 25 (ATed till 32)
cs 21
dw 13

most of the time, I can PA and run away from most melee classes and come back to finish them off or pa/kill most stealthers/casters

rangers are usually either a joke or totally uber, depending on what they're wearing/wielding.
high SC players are obviously hard to kill.

so since there;s no CD in this spec, I usually use DOT+Snare on my first attack and run like crazy/restealth, come back and do the same.

How the hell can you land 2 poisons with just 13 DW? Why snare?
1. you can use Garotte after PA
2. disease poison (reduces speed, dmg and heal effectiveness)

I'll test my setup in Braemar and post results one day :)

34+8 CS (a nice PA followed by CD)
27+8 Stealth
22+8 Envenom (main weapon str/con debuff, off - disease, 3rd - dot)
23+8 DW (high skill = higher chance to hit with off weapon = extra dmg for PA+CD)
12+8 Thrust

It's gonna be pain in my a** to get this done, but it would be my alt with /xp off /rps off living in CK

I had np perfing in Brae with 7+7 stealth.
Alb - Eternitys, Eternityz, Spectres, Prophecy, Phantasm, Swarm
Mid - Spheres, Cicada, Aalea

Eternitys - If were allowing custom changes, why would the staff choose to remove a very very good and highly accepted custom change such as barrels? Then on top of that, use the "it's livelike" excuse as a reason for removing them? If staff are so concerned about livelike and that's the direction the staff wish to go, I'd fully support a 100% livelike server. However if there are custom changes on the server, then using the "livelike" excuse is being nothing more then hypocritical.

Staff - Locked!

there is no rp off. with 2l2 u are done with braemar.

on topic. i startet yesterday with my ns in braemar. gear is a df seal and some drops i got while doing xp.
spec was 25 stealth 25 pierc 21 cs 25 evenom
after 2,5 hours i was lvl 34 and 2l0.
i guess i will make 2l2 this evening.
for me it doesnt make sense to build a sc for braemar. after a couple of hours you are done with braemar

yeah I would agree with that

I managed to do well in Wilt without SC as well and focused on getting good weapons first.

Normally, if something can survive me after the first 2 strikes, I should be running anyway and no armor will save me there.

I would suggest sticking with DF items through brae for sure. you'll learn better with crappy items
