Trispec caba is useless without mof, and heavy caster setups will just get raped by hib ns who can afford to have 3-4 purges... :cry:

One eld even with 0 skill will make all caster groups useless...

Are you sure? Valheru (Lyonesse Alb) had theurg/cab/sorc/2hand pala (ok maybe that one doesnt work here that good)/merc/minstrel and won most of the time vs hib caster grps.

Alb caster grps beat hib ones by a long mile. Just cause it's fotm on hib and alb never runs anything but tank/hybrid groups doesn't mean hib is superior in that regard, unless you wanna go with the 2002 game manual line 'Hib is the casterrealm lulz'.

But yeah with lollerpop old RAs sweeping away a lot of balanced things alb casters won't be the best of ideas.

IMO you can't take groups that dominated back then as an example because people don't play the same way they did then.

Thank you Tom, this thread is about the lollerpop OF-crap thing you all brought us.... so now we have to live with it and need other soloutins that reroll hib/mid.

Easy on the quick assumptions there, I'm against this OF debacle.
This topic doesn't have much use anyway since we are months away from actually changing RAs and nobody knows the details on what they will look like so it's useless playing paper daoc about it.

why?
I used to play spirit caby back on lyonesse and when we ran in this group we kinda killed everything that was not way above our RRs (there were some RR8+ only groups which were, with RAs up, pretty much invincible)

how?
debuff nukes from 3 casters (spirit caby MA), 3 pets for rupting, mins + sorc for CC, pala for endu and slam-cc + guard + emergency grp insta heal...matter caby should also "CC" with NS and disease before nuking

if it gets hard MOC safes the cabies when attacked (lifetap 4tw :) )...of course there may be better alb group templates, but this was the usual ppl that were online and willing to RvR, so we got used to it and as I said: it was really nice, though the players needed a lotta skill (more than a cookie cutter bomb or tank group), especially in pet management and single-rooting/NSing/diseasing the enemies
