Hi Guys,
I just Startet an Ranger Lurikeen,
Now i wonder witch would be the best choise of skilling him.
I played a long time with the charplaner and found 2 interesting speccposabilities.

For Pure Melee:
35 Stealth
36 Piercing
39 Celtic Dual
42 Pathfinding
(With raising RR spending not needable skillpoints from stealth to CD for 44er Style)

Or For Dual Melee/Range:
Stealth 35
Piercing 39
Recurve Bow 40
Pathfinding 40
(Spending not needable points in Piercing to get 44er Style, also using just Mainhand Weapon and a Shield)

So now i would have your Opinions to both Speccs like Topic says plz coment in Pro/Contra so i could get a better insight about the Speccs :)

I also woul apreaciate some tips to Specc better if u have Ranger Experience :)

Thx a lot,
Azzrael

If your Ranger is low rr think about if you really want to be hybrid with old frontiers or just melee spec. I would recommend a shar ranger if you go for melee spec because in terms of hitpoints it is the best race.

One im liking currently, at rr4 is.

34 stealth
34 pierc
38 cd
35 bow
31 pf

I've tested many spec's and how PF buffs affect each and i dont believe they affect your damage that much, so i found 31 pf works just fine, and the higher cd spec works good , with 35 bow giving you basicly the most damage you really can get wiht bow, unless you spec 40 pf and 45 bow and almost no melee, which isnt a good choice on old ra / stealth system.

Also the damage diffrence between 34 - 39 pierc is very small for a ranger, about 5 style damage i think it was, diffinatly not worth it, unless your aiming for a style.

Good choice :-)

Many player prefer celt or shar above lurikeen. But, there is one important argument, which makes lurikeen far superior than celts/shars. Lurikeen rocks and have the most style! :D

For Pure Melee:
35 Stealth

Much too high stealth. When the old RAs are introduced, many assasins will have see hidden. So a good stealth skill wont help you. I would suggest to lower stealth to 33 or 32. 47-48 stealth for sub RR8 is ok.

36 Piercing
39 Celtic Dual
42 Pathfinding
(With raising RR spending not needable skillpoints from stealth to CD for 44er Style)

I would suggest only 40 point to PF, the last shield only gave 11 AF in addition. Not worth the points. As far as I know, 44 CD doenst give you a useable style, since the 44 style is part of the after parry style chain.

What u Think About this Specc?

33Stealth
34Pierce
35Recurve
34CD
36Path (Yellow Dmg add)

(Ps Maybe first 33Path and 36stealth for Thid and 4l2 but after that change it with eachother)

So Long,
Azzrael
