Hi there, i'm new to ultgard and i really want to start, but is it even possible?
ultgard is really old, so there is my question : is it even possible atm to get good stuff out of SI dungeons and df?

it is amazing that there exist such a server, my question here is, if its difficult to get lvl 50 again?
cause i see no instant 50 :-D

50 isn't to hard to make in a month or two casually as a normal class (focus pulling classes can level up faster).

There isn't currently any SI content except for the classes -necro. As far as good stuff I assume you mean gear? There's all kind of good gear out of Realm/DF/Frontiers to make great or even perfect templates.

I've seen on Uthgard statistics page that the oldest char is from 2005, but even so it's realy not that difficult coming in new. There are plenty of people playing alts/new people to play with. Soloing is actualy not that hard (although I'd guess say a cleric wouldn't do so great there, but find a cabalist to focus pull with and you'll see nice exp).

As far as RvR goes at the moment you can get RR4L2 in Thidranki (Lv.44-49 BG) and even though this is a classic server there are still guard tasks. Soloing isn't going to happen to you if you don't have a lot of patience though as groups will run you over, tons of stealthers to jump you at mile gates, slow inc at times, then you may have possibilty at say Odin's Gate, but many high RRs can make it rough. I don't care much for group RvR, but from the spam I've seen Emain Macha seems to be fine.

my best time, for me on Mythic servers, was the time at the start of Shrouded Isles.
I liked it to go out alone, to search for nice fights in Emain or Odins Gate or even Hadrians Wall.

And this is what i missed on Mythic servers.
But i want to know, if there are often Raids in Darkness Falls, to get the good stuff, like worm bracers, legion stuff or even RvR Dungeon(the cloak for example)...but i guess i read it, that the RvR Dungeon isnt implemented yet?

And are there many players who are soloing around and at which time?
I'm from german, i really want to know, at which time i can meet others in RvR Zones :-D

You can always meet enemies in the rvr zones.

Solos usually go Odins at primetime (EU central) and some go to emain at lowpeak hours..


Don't expect it to be 90% solos though, we got a lot of people who don't go solo and just grp/add on solos..

Raids are done quite often, both dragon, worm, princes, tajendi (custom build zone)

no, AT THE MOMENT there aren't rvr dungeons.
but as announced in the news, they ll come with the next revamp of RvR (~august/septembre)

(hand in hand with OF RAs and some other changes, should read it^^)

SI starts 7 1/2 year ago...it was really a nice time, i missed it, thats why i'm here...

in beta i joined the hib forces...at start the alb forces and now mid :-D

but i really dont know what to do first, i really want to start with a shadowblade and want to play an zerker for group...but i guess i will have always to look for shamans to get money...thats my problem at the moment

to lvl one from 1-50 takes a lot of time and i really want to play RvR and not PvM :-D

any advices? atm i got an lvl 7 sb lvl 6 zerk and lvl 8 sm

Take the sm to focuspull if you are not patient enough for a skill class

If you cant get a guild fast, you are doomed on this server, cause getting all the stuff yo need while being a freelancer or dont have active guild it will take ages getting the money, crafting the stuff/buying all the stuff get all temp items, get some alch stuff und get RR to get constantly grped in RvR. I dont recommed this server if you have a normal life, lets say, a job and you planing to start all over here. Seriously, I cant see why all making a laughing stick on all the add ons mythic did, if you are forced to run in such a silly place like tajendi again and again to get the uber item. that was the problem with ToA u know...

if you think its such a long time you have to spend on the game without enjoyment.. then why play here? xD finding a guild will help, but you can go freelance.. just make a char that is a good freelance pve/pvp toon

Ever thought of the fact that such interpretations of the server aren't only caused by the people who experience this server, but that they are also created by the setting itself?

He's got a point that as a freelancer, this server is a very hostile environment for anyone who's looking to spend the time required to level their own crafters or to raise their own cashtoon while working on their main.

That is one of the core elements of this server Zarkor. Why do you think XP is split the way it is? xD to ****** of players who solo? no.. it's done that way because the staff WANTS US to join grps, guilds.. they want us to play with each other and not in our own little bubble.

Hence:

No buffbots/dual loggins
No PLs
No 1 toon, all crafts


It might be a valid concern.. but if you are QQing about it.. you might want to reconsider the server you are joining because this server is demanding players to work together.. imo a positive thing.

Oh, oh, wait, we can ask the right order of relevance between:

- you have to work together;
- you have to feel classic;
- you have to cry blood for a s/c charges (not classic at all);

Can the staff answer?

Oh... just a joke... they can /ignore as usual.

- you have to work together;

Fixed that for ya, and yes.. that is some of the core elements of Uthgard.. if it wasn't.. this would just be another insta 50 server.

so if those doesn't fit you? I suggest you start looking for somewhere else to whine, because these are core elements of Uthgard.
