As many of you know archer classes and more specific the hunter is severly f'd up. (ranger/scout can still somewhat perform in melee) *

Hunter bugs

* Try not to make this in ranger QQ or ranger isn't OP thread! Ty in advance.

But I'm afraid these bug fixes won't cut it for the hunter certainly not in comparison to the ranger & scout.

Scout has anytimer 9sec stun
Ranger dual wielding, posions

And the bow range of these classes seem to be higher
(not 100% sure on that)

So thats why I think some custom love, I rather use the word balancing in this case, should be givven.

How to do this?

Well what makes the hunter unique vs other archer classes? Its pet!
However ftm that pet is more a nightmare then a dream.
So making the hunters pet stronger or giving it special abbilities might aid in this.

eg. Customized Hunter repowering
-----------------------------------------
* Pet influence on evade/miss/block rate (°)
* Adding special pet abilities like
    * stun
    * chase after stealth (used to have that)
    * ...

Not sure what staff or ennemie players think of this but ftm in my eyes these changes will not make hunter OP but just plain playable.

That's what he meant Night, and it's not seldom that this is done.
There are even hunters who speced sword to be able to use poisoned weapons.
------------
About chasing after stealth we had this thread:
http://www.uthgard-server.net/modules.p ... ic&t=16291
Seems this won't come as it is considered as "bugfixed" how it is on Uth atm.

But what is missing is the 1.69 Call of the hounds ability.

Tbh i don't want custom love for hunter class.
I will be happy when hunters will have just all they have to have (no more archery bugs, correct growrates and style, correct ability like two charms ecc), with melee mechanics fixed and pets fixed.

Well, probably with Old Ra will be a nightmare the same, but let's see first and then we can judge.

I don't consider it bugfixed at all, I mean taking away that 'ability' of hunter would be simmilar to taking away dual wielding of ranger (taking away what makes the class unique).
It would make more sense to remove the ability of all pets/mobs besides hunter pet. Its a wolf trained by a stealther class, so it should be possible that he can sniff/hear/see ennemy stealthers in some radius and auto attack (if on agro & pbae range).

And call of the hounds is laughable, pets moving 2km/h around the killed realmmate. I mean what stealther is dumn enough to keep hanging around there -_-?

Also in that thread you reffer to, the pet won't attack an ennemie stealther when he is vissible, due to having higher stealth/mos then him, but is this already solved? It didn't work in Brae yet.

and i noticed... not even does your pet not follow stealthed enemys (which might be ok), it even refuses to attack a stealther i can see, click and dance with.

even if this great "fix" is meant to be working as intended, the LoS should not be from the pet but from the pet owner in my opinion.

edit: woops, just what johannah said... i should read more posts to the end :oops: but definatly not fixed yet.

Hunter pets could always pop stealthed enemies even a grey pup can do this. Here it is not possible. On live servers I could even pop them on a SM with SL.
Very easy to test If the player can see them and they sick the pet it does attack it will stop attacking once the player can't see them ... or the stealther used vanish I am not sure.
I can not test as I would have to upgrade client and the DL is way over my daily limit.
So if you want this fixed do some tests on live servers.
Frap it I am sure if the player can see the stealther the pet can attack it.

hunter pet should deal higher demage, not 15- 25 but 50 - 60 and should halved parry chance, evade chance, and small shield chance to block because 2 attaccker vs 1.

I will test to see if the pet can attack stealthed targets on Live and post a bug report. This would be a nice advantage for the Hunter, though it will become irrelevant with OF RAs and the loss of MoS.
