The FAQ was relatively worthless.

1) 1.69 means what? Roughly where in the patch cycle (without reading a hundred pages of patch notes) am I? Basicaly, between what major nerfs/fixes.

ie. smite nerf, detect hidden, camo, left axe nerf, etc.

Or just post a link to the thread explaining the current patch notes for uthgard.

2) I saw nearsight mentioned a lot in threads, so how useless are casters? I love casters, but if it is going to be brutally frustrating then I wont bother.

3) What is a good group oriented class that is either underplayed or usually poorly played (other than cleric). I'm game for playing almost anything in alb, and honestly enjoy playing the atypical specs when they fill a niche role in a group.

Anyways, any advice I could get other than trolls would be apreciated.

Cabbies are underplayed or rather, there are only a few good ones.
Next follows the Theurg, then Sorc and ofc Cleric.

There are not many good pallies, but 4-5 decent ones are around.
Its hard to find a good minstrel, so maybe this hell of a job to xp might be a good choice.


1.69 is just before TOA! No love patches for simgle classes, after LA and smite nerf, first valewalker styleupgrade.

Thanks. That was just the info i was looking for.

I started a sorc because that's the class I am most familiar with, but cabbies are a ton of fun to play in groups. So many spells and so little time to use them all. And with power issues being as bad as they are, having pet recycle wouldnt be too bad.

I will check with the few players I know and see what class among those listed would fit best, but sounds like any of the main alb group casters are a good choice.

There is no Cure NS.

Red NS on caster with purge down is really frustrating and imo pretty much OP. Indeed when I play theurg I'd rather suicide and get a res instead of playing 2 mins with NS lol
