Hello :)

On the live server I took the part of the Healer for this Setup, and it was really really Fun

What you think? How it works here, without Speedtrap, stacking DoTs, BB, rare 2-5 Man Groups, MG Hotspots ect..?

I am considering to try the Setup in the coming Months again...

Happy Talking :)

Solo cave shamy rocks, so how could it be worse with a healer in duo?

An Example from live:

if you go with an aug healer, yellow healer speed is nearly the same as rune speed/speed of realm.

But i think pac healer is way more suited for this duo constellation... as with most setups there are some duo or even smallgrps that you will be able to kill with this duo setup.

But every enemy setup with a healing char will be a problem, since you have no spike dmg output at all. And keeping the healer rupted/cced all the time is just in daoc theory possible.

I guess your main target as enemys will be stealther duo's, trio's... up to fg's. Against such you even might have a good chance, while making the rp's with farming solos meanwihle

Well, we dont talk about solos here,- thats only lahm- i often say it if i run Small Grp. or FG.

back to Topic :)I

Ur right- the Dmg is a Problem- even if the Dots krit for 130 per Tick-

Btw: i never see a 100% Krit Dot here on Uthgard, but thats another topic. Maybe i test it one Day.

Maybe there is a Problem if Heal supports the Grp, but hey: There are enough tanks which do not look back if their supporter standing in the root

One more Prob, no Ns Heal from the Aug spell Line at 40- so... purge 3 ftw^^

Anyway, how much aug need a Healer here for the Yellow speed? Whats the best spec for a Healer in this setup? Bit Mend for the 1st instant Heal, Aug for Speed, Rest Pac? So Trispec?

i would go for this setup:

35 aug, mainly for speed, 3 first resist,
38 pac first aoe instant stun
rest mend (15) first single heal instant

would like better mend but less aug/pac would be a waste

Tbh, i don´t see where this duo can farm anything but solos and lvlers. You lack Damage so badly that even Wardens/Friars and Bards can outheal you easily, and as soon as theres a caster things are even worse. Not to speak about rly strong duos like BM bard, Eld Bard, Sorc cleric, sorc Theurg, etc.

Nixian, that is only partially correct.

Ur right, the Cap is 50% - for normal DDs... But not for DoTs- there can be 100%- also in the RvR.

My mate on Live got Dots with 150dmg- (around 80-90 base) + Krit.

Here the Daocpedialink:

http://de.daocpedia.eu/index.php/Dot

good spec Calvo- thx for it.

Dunno why a Bard/bm Duo should be to strong for this setup... what do you expect? Kill enemys instantly? Time working for you.......

Sure Sorc/Cleric is really hard, but its for everyone.

Back the DoT Crit Topic:

Are there any official texts about it? As i say, i can remember on live there was DoT with Crits around 150.. here a Thread from VN Boards to the crit cap of dots:
http://vnboards.ign.com/daoc_midgard_wa ... 103119195/

also Daocpedia says 100%

I found other sites who say only 50%...

so whats right?

r8 pacie + r6 shaman, both with pure group specs.

That is the duo I have played some, and it works okay.

Have taken down much, even r8 merc + r8 cleric duo.

There is nothing wrong with this, the problem is just that most of the time you will not be able to finish the fight before people will add on your fight.

(might been better this setup if shamans worked like they should)

Ok, last Night, i run this Setup with a 5lx Healer. He was Trispec, me 41/33/7.

This was really really funny. I would say, if played well, it can be one of the strongest Duo in Midgard coz you got so much Utility to et away from your Enemys. Mezz/Stun/Root/Disease/Ichor ect..
Dunno any other combination, except Skald/Shaman or Pac/RM- (what will not work here, coz no spec buffs from BBs).

We killed Bard/BM Duo & Pala/Merc/Sorc Trio.. it was the only Inc we found

Sure, its no Instant Kill, but Time working for you. Anyway, i looking forward :)
