Greetings to all of Midgard
Today will go down in history, when the forces of Hibernia deliberately and intentionally drew up against Grallarhorn Faste to take what is rightfully Midgard Property. OUR two power relics have been kept there since the dawn of time and the infidel Hibernians aimed at stealing that what is part of Midgard legacy and heritage. Brave souls fought gallantly against these tree dwelling outcasts, that seek only to destroy the world as we know it. Midgard, preservers of nature and protectors of women's virginity have stepped up and defended bravely. Hibernians successfully carried OUR cauldron outside the Inner Keep doors, where they were met by a force that will be praised by Skalds, for generations to come. There were groups that came from the distant Battlegronds of Thidranki and even Wilton. Even a few youngsters leveled in their mid 20's came in defense of their realm. Pure Midgard blood was spilled today on holy ground. But those droplets of blood was not spilled in vain! Midgard, the hammer of Thor, thumped Hibernia back to that pitch black hole where they crawled from! Praise be to Midgard and all its children! Midgard fights for world peace! Peace only achieved by Midgard policies! Praise be unto Midgard! Midgard uber alles! Witwolf |

...I dunno about the OP (I guess he is in RP mode).
But in response to the "bug abuse" guys:
from http://vnboards.ign.com/warhammer_onlin ... 9992457/p2 To give some background information based on my research: In patch ver. 1.60, it was changed from being able to have many rams on a door to 3 rams. In 1.70 (NF) it was changed from 3 to 1, which is the timeline that this commentator suggests, meaning the inability to repair doors during a keep siege is a NF mechanic. Therefore, since we are now currently in OF mode (although, using hybrid mechanics still), it should be possible not only to be able to repair keep doors during siege, but also to have multiple repairers on the same door as it was on live during that era. It would also be nice to have the OF ram mechanics also...but I digress. Currently, you cannot repair doors on a keep during a siege UNLESS the attacking force has not attacked the doors in the last five minutes. If the attacking force has not attacked any of the keep doors for that time (as was the case for this relic raid during the time period where you were fighting the lord) then it opens a window of opportunity to repair keep doors. To counter this "bug abuse" in the future, please have one person or a pet attack the fourth relic door (the one not broken) every so often to prevent door repairs. This maintains 'siege mode' on the keep and defenders cannot repair the door. HOWEVER, in the future, hopefully the devs will fix the REAL bug, which is using NF siege mechanics in OF when reverting the patch back to 1.69. Until then, please feel free to use this information for a fair fight and better luck next time. Cheers, Your local door repair squad |

so you're actually saying it was not a bug at that time? are you kidding me?

In OF not only could you repair during a siege, you could have multiple (infinite, I think) repairers fixing a door at any time.
A couple of relic raids on my live server (Gawaine) were halted by doors closing behind a raid, yes. Also, even earlier than that you could even fix doors from above, but that was fixed in 1.60. |

since it completely destroys raid mechanics it's defo a bug and should be fixed... soon!

i truly apologize to the raiding hibs... as it was me who closed the 3rd gate and trapped you
besides the broad spam of "repair the gates", "repair the gates" i just tried it and it worked, so gate was at 5%. As this bug destroyed the mid relic raid just 2 days ago i was curoius to find the cause of the bug and tried another time and it worked again, so gate was at 10% (the outer gates were closed already at this time by other mids). I stopped reparing the gate, but some other mid repaired the gate to 15%, at that time you picked up the relic. At this point i really should have stopped, but my friends in ts told me like "hey they did the same to albs when they had 6 relics" and "the albs did this to us just 2 days ago"..., and maybe you know the childish feeling when you found a bug and can use it... so i repped the door to 20% and it closed. That was wrong, and i am really sorry! At this time there were still few mids in the reli keep, and i was sure you could open the gate quick enough to carry the relic home anyway, but that is no excuse. I knew the bug and i used it. imo i deserve a ban. As i realised what i did, i felt... guilty. And i still do. I don't beg for a ban just for fun, i even have a day off tomorrow and would really like to play. The relic was bugged and i couldn't pick it up, if so i would have carried it to htk in og and wipe at guards there. So all i can do now is to say i am sorry, will not do this ever again, will try to stop others to use the bug and will accept every punishment for using the bug. |
