With tireless (+ endupots) available arms is a way better choice, although polearm dmg is still gimped

And this is a big problem with this server as it is. It's nice going back to old RA and Old BG and creating a pre-toa experience, but from what I can remember there wasn't ANY pots pre-toa and by keeping them you are making certain skills redundant.

I'm all for creating a pre-ToA environment, but I don't think it's going to be viable with post-ToA elements mixed in. Heh, anyway...

...PALA LFG

Alchemy and Spellcraft, and therefor pots, go back to Patch 1.54, November 2002, thats pre-SI.

Patch 1.53 was the patch where paladins got their Endu-chant.

And I remember when we didn't have it ;) But this is besides the point as they are making a pre patch 1.69 server. I.E. Paladins had end chant ;)

But I'm pretty sure that pots were NOT part of the original Alchemy, they wered added later, or they were unusable within a certain time of combat, or something. Hmmm. I just don't remember potions/pots being used back then oO

Nice utility, but no dps in there.
And theur is a must.

Remove pala, arms and possibly mincer for some real dps (mercs).

It is questionable will a trispec cabby be possible with OF RAs. :(

Check out the official documentation

http://www.camelotherald.com/documentation/spellcraft/

Last revised: December 3, 2002
(Information on enchanting and recharging added)

# Buff potions (STR, CON, DEX, QUI, STR/CON, DEX/QUI, Acuity)
# Non-combat healing potions (HP, Endurance, Power)
# Combat healing potions (HP, Endurance, Power)
# Damage shield potions
# Haste potions
# Regeneration potions (HP, Endurance, Power)

But I agree that it was not used nearly as much as it is used here.

These potions have the most impact in solo 1v1s etc
and of course everyone wants the best possible chance to win fights and stat buff potions noticably increase the ability of your class without need for a buffing class.

And from what your saying the potions have been implemented of live before i knew.. its just cos no one used them? why would u if u had a buffbot permanently like everyone did.

they arnt as devasting as buffbots, i really think buffbots ruined DAoC. But these potions mean that if u want to rvr you need to have 4+ of these potions up at a time just to compete on a level playing field, makes no sense cos if no one had these potions it would still be even.

(i know i am a friar so removing (or limiting so they arnt gamebreaking) potions would increase the ability of my class relative to the others because of self buffs (and so thanes/champs/rangers/wardens/druids/clerics/shamans & hunters as they all have the full advantage back that they specc for)

but in my opinion thats how its meant to be... and the numbers of those classes that actually solo is very small as currently the self buffers (+animists/wizards) represent a tiny % of active RvRs

removing the stat buffs would help the underperforming classes a little and make everyones life easier if they just wanted to have a casual few hours of solo play without needed stupid barrels.

bit of a rant there sorry.
