Well the same with bof against a tankgrp. It's not that 2-3 ench groups are common and if they baod you just keep kiting for 30 sec. Not that big deal like ns is.

But gonna be hard to drop a group with 2* bof and 4 lifeleech caster with moc :)

But ill stop suggesting such setups cause i don't wanna run against them and for now ill keep focus mainly on hib.Seems we are the underdog again and my mage is lvl 3 and still can't decide :)

i really like the idea of such castergrps... you can be very flexible with your setup to fill the grp.. a guild that only would run castergrps would be able to build nice grps with only 4 classes ( cleric, sorc, cabba, theurg) and many possible specs (earth/wind theurg, body/mind sorc, trispec/matter/spirit cabba) so just everyone has to have one of these classes and you get a nice fg setup. others like paladins, minstrels or wizards (fire debuff from body sorc for example) can be added easily too..another point i like is that it needs a lot of skill to play such a grp in a decent way - no easymode tankgrp-bull****.

You know, I suppose once OF RAs are implemented we'll see how things play out. But I think chances are that we will see a few more hib caster groups popping up (just way to overpowerd with guard, baod, group purge, melodies etc).

So in that sense I would hesitate to roll a alb caster setup - worked nicely on classic- and toa servers, but in OF I have my doubts (long purge timer, not bodyguard, 30min sos, no cure ns, no %dmg and against groups with yellow/red resists etc).

I think the old alb fotm may become quite popular again - cleric, cleric, sorc, theurg, pally, merc, merc, mincer.

Time will tell.

Well Albs have also guard and they don't got grp purge but sos and second demezzer. And ofc you dont care about resists with debuff.

And no melodies but double bof and could have 4 lifeleech caster with moc :)

Every realm has enough nice things for good caster groups.

like...mid has enough good tanks to take down enemies before they kill their runies and sms?

Though I wonder how an fg BDs would do...or lets say healer, shamy, skald and 5 bds :D

Still can't decide.

So one last question. Are there enough decent Sorcs to find always one for rvr?

Or does it happen often that you have to spam lf sorc for hours?

You can rarely see a spam /lf sorc. It's a too important slot to fill with a random or someone you haven't played with before. If you do that, chances are he wont perform properly in your group setup. :)

true :)

But even though i think sorc might be the better choice think ill go for cabby.

Easier to xp and a good first toon. And i love caby epic robe, think ill make a temp with it.

If you decide to go caby I woulld strongly advise you to level at least till lvl 40 as matter spec.

As for RvR I would recommand you try tri spec first, at least you will be able to fo get grouped in any kind of group.

We tried full caster setups on randoms occasions with KT/ae dwa groups, which went like this:

mind sorc
body sorc
tri spec caby
tri spec caby
theurgist
cleric
cleric
pala

I believe in this setup... :p
We didn't try it out long enough, but I can tell you the damage is more than enough, even with 33% body debuff.

All in all i'd go for tri spec caby, that's what I did and I don't regret it

Anyway, respecs don't cost much, you can always try it all :p

thx. Yes think ill xp with matter to 49 or smth. Maybe mass gobbos are possible here.

Trispec is a nogo for me. In full Caster Setup one trispec cabby should be enough and one with red debuff should be better. I don't like to give up high spirit spec for ns. I loved my fullbuffed pet and the red debuff on live. Ofc that was with old realmabilities and pets with stats:)

Im going 46/28 or 46/25/11 for grey ns :)

Dont go spirit because debuffs and aoe snare are the only things implemented in that line.

Cabby pets are great on paper daoc, but in practice your pet is 2-3 dds away from death no matter how much you buff it up (buffs dont work on cabby pets atm  ).
Not to mention a whole lot of bugs and unimplemented things that keep cabby pets from what they should be.

Either go trispec or (maybe with OF RAs) 41/35/3 for red ns.

Well even if we leave pet out of the view debuff and snare are nice imo.

It's the same with our enchs and they perform well and every alb group has at least one sorc who can also take use of this debuff. Add a second sorc or cabby and you got burst dmg with 2,5s nuke of all same dmg type. Think this is underestimated.

Well i'll give it a try. Maybe pets get fixed someday.

If my spec won't work out or leaves me alone in atk i might give trispec a try.
