Hello everyone.

First, english is my second language so be nice with me :)

Im playing Arsman, it's my first char here. I finally reach lvl 40 and got a respec line.

After tryed style Defender Rage who are totally useless, i'm here to ask some suggestion about a new Build.

My current build : 40 pole 40 shield and Parry.

If some player experimented with Arsman on utgard can let me know which build are the best for pvp and pvm. I'm looking most for 1 v 1 and Boss Tank spec :)

Well i'm waiting for some tips before respec.

Sorry for my bad english i hope some people will answer.

Vandry

- 50 pole (use the same pole dmg as your weapon spec)
- 42 shield
- xx+xx=51 in weapon
- the rest in parry

Best dmg + hybrid spec, u can twist your 1h / 2h... nothing better

So for a 5L0 : +15 all spec line
-50+15 pole
-42+15 shield
-36+15(=51) in... thrust for example
- the rest in parry (idk how many it's)

For speccing polearm you also need to have high (equal to your level ideally with rr and item bonuses) in slash/thrust/crush depending on which damage type polearm you use or your min damage will be very low (high variance between min and max damage).

As Poledamage really sucks on Uthgard (half of live) and a very high miss/fumble rate, this spec is not the best at all.
I tried all spec possible for arms on Uthgard and finally find a real good deal.

50 slash
42 shield
37 parry
18pole

Why?
Slash is 100% strengt based.
Amethyst+diamond slash got "very high" to hit bonus
parry is the only good def. vs dual wielders (rangers,ns,sb,bm,zerk,savage,...)
18 pole for anytime snare.

With this i do 200/250 damage every 3.5 sec instead of 250/300 (pole spec) every 5.5sec.
If you got Mop and add damage you really overcap pole damages.
This spec make give sense to "Dashing defense" RA too and give a real utility for arms in grp.

Ya respec are easy, but full plate 100% sc cost little higher.

You can put both polearm and slash on your SC, it shouldn't be very hard if you use 100%. So you don't have to make a new SC with a new spec. Anyway even if you still choose polearm you will need your slash bonus (well, unless you choose crush or thrust... but wouldn't make sense if you already have a slash SC)
I am assuming direct control.

Thrust 1hand is 50% strength 50% dext.
Thrust polearm is 100% strength.

You would have better damage than a paladin because of better weaponskill but honestly i wouldn't recommend playing an arseman without 2hand or polearm. Polearm damage might be kinda lower that than it should be it's not half as on live lol

Well To be honest polearm damage isn't 50% than what it is on live server.

I've been hitted from 350 to 500 quite often on my eldrict by armsman, by same people who cried about this damage.
Maybe it's kinda low but it is really not 50% of live dmg.

I would advice you to spec 50polearm for sure, it's way better in anyway that 1h spec and from far.

Going 1h to group is just useless.

If you really want to deal damage, roll a merc, but you can be sure that armsman is ok.

It could be ok if it wasn't for uthgard's fubar block and evade rates. Dual wield all the way.
