I am trying to run the game for the first time.I followed carefuly whole "How to connect" guide but I cant go over one rather fatal problem.

In portal settings,DaoC instalation - browse thing... I selected folder where I have game instaled but it just says "Invalid Client- The Daoc instalation specified is not valid"

how can it be? I followed every single step from guide.Downloaded the free trial client,classic patched but it wont let me continue... please help

If it helps in any way I have instaled client to default folder.

C -> Electronic Arts - > Dark Age of Camelot

but in tutorial video its like this

C -> Dark Age of Camelot - Labyrinth of The Minotaur

when you dl the game, you saved it somewere thats the path you have to set not the electronic arts folder

in daoc portal server browser window:

click file

click settings

in the daoc installation section click browse

select your daoc installation folder
(very likely c:\program files\electronic arts\dark age of camelot\)

this should fix your problem. daoc portal does not automatically scan for your daoc files.

thanks alot you two.Problem was that all games in my life default instaled in program files.Daoc made just empty folder there and istaled the game in Game folder

I got portal to work but when i tried getting into the game it just froze on startup. Still running 1.7 patch tho so i tried the roll back for 1.6 and it didnt work. Anyone have 1.7 rollback?

I to am having this issue.

I had the game working fine on my computer last week, over the weekend my hard drive crapped out on me so I had to buy a new one.

Installed and updated to Windows 7 now, was running Vista on my old hard drive.

When I select the path of "DAoC Installation" in the DAOC Portal settings, it gives me this error:

Invalid Client: The DAoC Installation specified if not valid!

The installation path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot

The only thing I have done since installing Windows 7 and running updates is install DAoC and DAoC portal.

Please help!
