is LW champ a waste of time, from what i've been reading it would seem so. What is a good spec for Champs on Uthgard. Thank you

if old RAs come: 50 in hero or blademaster

otherwise LW is fine (and by LW i mean 49/50 lw 42 shield 40/39 valor)

Hi,

If you are looking for hybrid Champion skills spec, 39 Valor, 42 Shield, 50 LW.

It works well on PvP if you are not the MA or you don't have to defend yourself.
Switching is limiting your capabilities to defend & attack.

On PvE it becomes boring quite fast tbh. I personally run it for more than five weeks, but after awhile I switch to single hand sped (50 weapon, 42 shield, 39 valor, rest parry) which I love.

Please note if you do plan to make a champion right now, the limitations of the class with the OF RA's, making it unsustainable in RvR and not a welcome class in groups (or Solo). (big zergs, relic raids etc are ok) So a Hero or a BM are better :(

------------------------------------------------------
Personal advice regarding PvE.
1h spec Champ, for PvE, is a monster. With MoB2, IP1, & MoPain 1, and health/end/haste pots you can solo most of the purple mutilators & inquisitors in DF (as an indication of capabilities). Higher RR, especially when OF RAs hit and have to move the points from Det & Purge, will be insane on that area. Also losing aggro is pretty difficult (with 50 on 1h weapon + bonuses), so you can be main tank in PvE groups if there isn't any LW RR8+ in the grp. Also Valor 50 composite is barely resisted and use yours debuffs.

resists are only affected by the spell level itself not the skillpoints you got into this line.

So for 1h Champ i would suggest 50 valor 39 weapon 42 shield.

Capped Str/c buff, red debuffs red dd > some weapon points.

if you wanna go group rvr its only LW (you might consider another class here anyways)

For solo you can go both ways. Choose what you like more or think looks cooler imo
