Hello my friends,

i am new to the uthgarde community and i am loving every day of it. Nice to see Daoc spirit still lives.

I have been playing more than a week now and our realm seemed a little bit under populated. Balances and relics changed hands every week or day back in my time (almost 7 years ago) is that still the same?

i see a lot of "Hibs captured that" and "Darkness falls opens for Albion" messages but not much action on our part in the keep wars. Any information from a regular player is appreciated. I see that uthgard is a very old community, so how does midgard do on that big picture? thats all i want to know.

Cheers

Well mids haven´t df and relics since long time, but while there are 1fg hib and alb in frontiers, mid have 3-4.

Underdog? I think no.

I suppose mids are just too lazy to raid keeps :P

Midgard is the only realm with constant RvR players and constant playercount overall I think.

i think mid suffers from having a nice population. sometimes i think we force the albs and hibs to raid keeps because they have trouble keeping enough groups together in the popular 8v8 areas. mid has really nice xp spots besides df, though. our dungeon chains are really solid and well populated from nisse - cursed tomb - vendo - varulvhamn so it doesnt seem as important to most guilds to have df all the time. i try to open df at least once or twice a week to put my stealther chars in, but it usually closes fast. also i've been lazy on it since black ops came out. only on daoc a few hours a week since it released ^^

Hey Aste ^^

Yeah as Aste stated, our dungeons are pretty decent, and as an up n coming Mid, I really rarely have trouble finding groups. Maybe it's how our class setup is designed. Just feels like I can find someone my level and start going at it. Filling in the extra spots as needed. We definitely try to get out in DF if it's open, but really there's other spots outside.

One reason I'll point out for not everyone finding the need to HAVE df 24/7 on Mid, is how our side is designed. For the lower levels anyways it's much more practical to just go to a dungeon. It's hard not to feel like a pigeon trying to get at a single french fry that every other pigeon is trying to get at as well. There just isn't enough good spots for groups compared to the other sides. It could be in my head, but atleast as far as Albs side is concerned we kinda got shafted :P Perhaps that's why they gave us a slight edge with the dungeons ^^

Also, sometimes on Mid it gets plain quiet, everyone's up to whatever they are up to, chats move into BG's and Vent etc, and you can hear the winter breeze swashing about. Then out of the frosty mist comes a horde of Trolls bouncing towards you, and if you are a Mid you rejoice, but if you are a Hib or Alb you can do nothing but type /release >>:O
Full Moon, getting a thread near you locked for asking GMs to finish their duty.

Heho,

Midgard is since long time one of the most activ RvR Realm on Uthgard, one big part of that activ player in Midgard play since a long time RvR espcially 8vs8 RvR.
So Midgard have often good pug Groups, sometimes GG groups out and many high RR player it is strong in RvR. On the other side Midgard doesn't have many activ 50er player like Hibernia and Albion at all. They also have more PvM player.
So the most activ RvR Midgard Player go to Emain and don't want to raid keeps.
A other important thing is that Midgard often don't have the mass to get the relic and if we have we have often problems with some classes from the enemyrealm.
Midgard have many Tanks, Hibernia have many Caster and many player have a Anmist for farm money so they can log a caster, Albion have mass and for raiding they have also many caster and the theurg, the pets makes heavy dmg on Keepdoors.

So if you see in someparts Midgard is the underdog realm in other parts not.

I agree with Luydor, midgard is definitely one of the most active realms. Easily in the top 3.
