Yes but only for PvE ;)

If you want to level up and go RvR then better try cleric + sorc.

Well you have two options:

1) Cleric+Cabbalist, which is by far the most effective levling duo on alb.
2) Paladin+Melee Dps, also quite good and easy to lvl up, but not that fast as cleric+cab

But that goes only for fast lvling. If you plan on running group rvr with your chars you should consider that some classes get some heavy nerfs with old RA's. So you should avoid Paladin/Reaver/Friar/Wiz.

Minstrel (with pet heal/buff) + Melee dps

Filidh (salisbury); Cleric something (cornwall, but u need charm blue or yellow i think); Arwanite shamaness (lyonesse, dartmoor, snowdonia), Pictish Druid (Hadrian's Wall)

friar + theurg? what game are you playing? theurg needs mana, so sorc. but, theurg aint any kind of fast killer, so,no. friar is ok solo, but not in duo.
best melee: reaver+ pala (reaver sidestyle while pala holds aggro, unlimited killchain 5-50)
best caster: cleric + caba (matter spec)
ok caster: earth wiz + caba (snare aoe + areadot)
ok melee: merc+pala (again,sidestyle) pala+ anything melee
ok mixed: caster+scout

friar + group, aint working on uth mostly. noone cares for the healpower, meleepower or extra resists. a secondary cleric is mostly the choice.

this really works well, and a sorc can charm these too, the pets never go OOP, so if you find a nice camp of red con you can duo cap xp with no downtime.

Minstrels allways works good in grp if you have your pets. but they are very limited where they can level. Another problem: AT
If you'll do AT (and you should do it) you only can charm filidhs, and those with lvl 24. but for those, who want to level one: I know a hidden Filidh spots ;) you can find 3 filidhs southly from Caer Ulfwych in Campacorentin.

And to the "never OOP" : wrong, had alot of Filidhs which gone OOP after some hours.
