I plan only to play with one friend PVE only (no RVR !!), what two classes can you recommend that will allow us
to have fun with this game ? We are casual players only playing a little bit every day.

a few options. What you find "fun" is kinda hard to say but this is my opinion anyway:

Bard+ BM/valewalker (or any melee). This setup is great for pve and you should also at later levels, if you ever get there, be able to easy form some bigger groups if you want/need. Also (even do you said only pve) this setup can be really nice in the BGs aswell.

Chanter + menta: One of the better duos aswell. Can kill alot of mobs at once with focus shield + hot. Not as much potential for BGs as you are abit squishy and need a group around you.

Warden + menta: A couple of guildies did this duo and it actually worked very well. Warden pulls a 2-4 mobs. Taunts each of em a few times while being healed (HoTed) by the menta. When a couple of taunts are in the menta can aoe dot and the mobs goes down pretty fast. Needs abit of practice but can work very well.

also druid+any melee can work, as the better bufs will make up for the loss of endurange.

if you are 100% focused on PvE I suggest

Simply because you will find it fun to see what bosses you can get down, how many mobs you can kill, etc.

I always thought mana chanter/Bard would be a good duo although I have not had a chance to try.

Buffs dont affect pets like they did on live. So go for Ench+Ment or Animist+Ment.

Do solo as an animist. Get serenity3 or 4 and use Pom-Potions and tinderboxes. You dont need anything else....only a good spot with insta-repopp of yellow mobs

Or do two Animist. But thats just good for PvE, dont forget this

chanter/menta or animist/menta

Just remember the chanter/menta combo will trigger BAF due to the fact there are 3 of you with the pet.

Just have to be able to take care of that...if the BAF mob gets on the chanter it can disrupt the FS shield process...and if there are lot of mobs already on your pet...can be a pain

Use "go to" instead of "attack", never worry about BAF aggro.
