I guess it doesn't really matter what race you are with a shaman since it is a simple and easy class to play, both solo and in groups.

There has to be at least some advantage to seeing a troll... with a hammer (and if the player is smart, not the small shield give away) running around. Even the best players in the world will have to do a quick double take some of the time on this. If this results in more than a 0.15 second delay, it more than makes up for the cast time delay. This same theory can be applied to a skald carrying a small shield to appear as a shaman, or any other possible way to fool your opponent. Game mechanics play a part, but its not the only part. This is probably the single most frustrating thing about playing on uthgard. Players don't try to counteract the established norms which are in place. Every move you make should be anticipating what your opponent is going to do and finding the best way to exploit it. Instead the accepted practice seems to be following the like blind sheep.

I completely agree! Thx for posting!

Probably not, it's by far the easiest support class to play.

Not sure how anyone can mistake a hammer handling Troll with 2 arms up in the air surrounded by greenish spell effects for a Warrior, but hey I am probably a leet player :D
Having said that I ve seen good groups fooled by my Ubba 5L bard RA, so anything is possible.
Good luck to you, having a character you like to play is always the most important thing.

Pro Tip: Ask the melee trolls/kobolds in your group to use /meme from time to time, in the confusion of all these arms in the air, you ll probably be ignored long enough to make your choice worthwhile, plus your group will gain great reputation among your ennemies

No you just do significantly lower damage.

Unlike live the kibbie warrior will not block much more here (I could be wrong as on live my kibbie warrior had mob3, this one started with det4 and only mob1 so far) and the damage is decent @lvl 49 it can hold agro well enough.
Full buffed has well over 300 str or could carry a siege ram with self buff if needed (pots).
It did very well in all BGs never lost to a ogre 1 vs 1 yet, but its always been full capped with charges in bgs. (now temp has 10 dot charges and 10 str/con debuff charges)

P.S. made a macro /mememe

I say on Uthgard roll whatever makes you happy and what you WILL play at 50.

Uthgard is a great place, but there are a lot of ALTS rolled and not enough that stick to an identifiable character.

Hope to see you in the realm. Welcome to Midgard. Aftermath is a good guild and we're always willing to take on anyone willing and wanting to group

I like out of the box thinking however I dislike trolls very very very very ~ hard, as a caster/seer having a char in front of you taking away the center of screen is not annoying, but imba annoying.

Sure tabbing around is a possibilty but tabbing only works on ennemies being withinalmost melee range & when you have to start casting then, well thats a bit late.
Troll worshippers then always tell me to pan out or change view around, but seriously trolls are big, and when switch view around you are either looking at side angle missing the view on 1 side or from bird perspective which also cuts down the view range in front, not to mention the frog position where you can admire troll butt & sky.

Unfortunatly for me they are the best choise for melee due to the high base str, and there for making a dwarf zerker or even a norse zerker is being seen as pure newbism.

For me a troll is still the class that impresses 12y olds the most, because they look so strong & fearless *roaaaawrrrr*

Trolls are fun. Not just for 12 year olds : )

If they take up the screen, pan the camera back a lil?

Nah man u got it all wrong. Trolls are great! Without the troll race midgard would be in trouble. Midgard is a melee heavy realm and we need that big lug and all his str.

Also I have to say that there are many aspects of the berserker that make norse or dwarf a good choice. evade and parry are both essential skills and will vary depending on the race you select.

I heard may name! I personalty love your choice of race with your shaman. I will group with you no mater what race/class you play. I have played RVR with you enough years to know, if you played the unanimously agreed, hands down, "we just want to see what people say about us", worst combo the game had to offer, you would still be more effective then 90% of the players out there, "leet" or otherwise.

Us Trolls have to stick together! Troll on my brotha!
