I'm considering starting a character on albion, but I need to know what classes are needed the most out of the existing ones. Anyone have a suggestion?

So just 2 casters and a healer? What about melee classes?

I would say play what you like to play. While it is great to think of others when selecting your toon, I would not simply pick my character based on the needs/wants of the realm. Sorry, I wouldn't. :P This is a game and it is meant to be fun. If you don't like to play the classes suggested, you will not have a good time, and in turn...may not play your toon in the long run, or would end up re-rolling a toon that you enjoy. There may be plenty of melee classes on albion, but there is always room for more. If you put yourself out there in LFG or get yourself in a Guild, you shouldn't have any trouble getting groups or finding action for your toon. You could also play a class that can solo as well and then you wouldn't have to worry about groups!

Just my thoughts.

Good advice saph, but they I have another question for you; how are Reavers and Paladins? I'm guessing they're Albs version of the Champion and Warden from Hib, and they play about the same?

EDIT: and what weapons would you reccomend for those two classes?

Just dont do a minst or infi and u ll be fine :wall: If Old RA is comming like it seems to, dont do a reaver, merc is the only way to go if u want to do grp rvr.

Don't play paladin or reaver if you plan on rvring, old realm abilities will make those two classes worthless (no determination on tanks = fail). Friar is gimp in groups but okay solo. Wizards are just worthless since bolts are bugged. Armsman sucks atm but will replace paladin as deftank when old realm abilities come. Any other class is a good choice.

there are enough cabas in alb. Cleric is not that difficult to play and you will easy find groups - But without Grp youre lost.
A good beginner class is always a Paladin - and they are always needed in grp.

Not when OF RAs hit, imo.

Do you want to be useful to groups? really, really useful? play a bow-focused scout. Play a sniper scout and get all RA's, stats and item bonus related to archery. Archery is performing very well, so your sniper archer will be very valued on groups.
