Hi all,

I just wanted to say how excited I am to be playing this great game again. I played DAoC on Pellinor for Midgard for over 6 years and had many toons. I also dabbled with the classic servers when they arrived on the seen. I did some research before choosing a class to roll and ended up on a Troll Skald, my personal favorite class/race combo in the game.
I am also lvling a Norse Hunter. I went back and forth on if i wanted a Kobi spear spec or a Norse sword spec. I ended up with a Norse sword spec and I pretty sure I'm going to go complete mele hunter on him. I had a RR5 mele hunter on Pel that I loved and wanted to recreate that experience here.

I'm looking forward to the teamwork, grouping and fun I have come to expect from DAoC and I look forward to seeing you all out there, either with my sword, or at the tip of it

you should know that hunter is probably the weakest class and surely the very weakest stealther class on uthgard. so your great experiences with a melee hunter on live will probably not repeat on uthgard, it's my fairest advice for you to better play another class here :>

Hmm, what is it about the hunter makes it the weakest stealther on uthgard? It has to be all the differences with the version we are playing, because on the live server, he did very well. The only reason he was rr5 was, I played my skald more with my group. Maybe the no buff issue? Has anyone even given a norse/sword mele hunter a serious go on uthgard?

Hunter is the weakest stealther here. His peet is buged, and only do 20 damage XD. If you want do damage you are forced to use 2 hand weapon, all infis, nss and rangers will evade you. GMs want implement patch 1.69 soon, cause this hunter will lose evade 3.
Well if you are experienced and skilled hunter you will not have much problems, but will be really hard for you get kills.

O' I see. It seems as though i may want to switch if a few things are broken. Is there anything wrong with the SB on Uthgard? Had one of these on live too. My 50 did get past 4Lx because I chose the hunter to play over the SB but I loved my lowbie in the BGs

sb is very nice, it will become weaker with next patch but still should be strong enough since infi's and ns' ovedrpowered ra's have 30 min timer.

yes, no bonus to PA damage IE: cap speed hit same as 2 hand PA .

It doesn't matter what speed weapon you use for pa you will always hit the same target for the same amount.

My Thid SB twink on Nimue can PA harder then any PA here. (love 2 hand PA damage on live) QQ

Sb is the strongest assasin in uthgard. And i said asasin no stealther

I see you have a 7L2 hunter by your signature so I assume your being serious. Is the hunter really as bad as these guys say? I know even on live they say mele hunters suck but I know for a fact that they dont. I'm starting to wonder if it is the same here. How long has it taken you to get to 7L2 and how often do you play if you dont mind me asking?

Pick Infi or NS for easy mode and SB for hard mode.
As SB you dont have a stealth zerg behind you, you are basecally solo vs tons of other stealthers.
With Old RA you will suffer from str debuff far more than your zerg enemies.
Gonna be a hard run as stealther in Midgard imo.
Probably the best realm if you wanna roll a visible toon and the worst one if you wanna roll a stealther.
