Well, since the colocation center wasn't able to get a hand on the current lag/packet loss situation many players were facing - and neither to solve it - we were forced to end our contract ahead of time. Unfortunately, this means some financial losses but we hope that the situation is going to improve with the new colocation center.

There was no way to have all people using T-Online (or their re-sellers) endure the constant lags. The new idea of using a proxy didn't work out, either.

As soon as the new server is completely set up we are going to give you the proper IP address. Hopefully, everyone will once again be able to connect to the server with a perfect connection, so we can concentrate on the more important stuff!

Calm down. We havent shutdown the server. The server freezed saturday night. So we leave it down cause the server will be sent back to us nonetheless on monday.

Reboots cost on weekends 50 Euro and weekday 20 Euro. So this is no option. We try to get online as quick as possible. But currently it comes out that we need the server hardware to get our hands on the last DB state. In germany 03.10. is a free day so I expect the delivery of the hardware on wednesday.

Perhaps I can deal a bit with the old colocation center to get a 10min timeframe where I can download our DB while they switch off the server.

Old server is already on the way to me. So I have no chance to get my hands on the DB before Wednesday evening. (Tuesday is official holiday in germany)

Hello Blue,

Personnaly i can wait, even 3 weeks if needed.
So take the time you need to do the best as you can do, and let complaining childs whining.
It's amazing to see ppl wanting everything right now, plus now there is some money problems involved.

Good luck,

Pirith.

excuse me, t-online is the biggest german isp and the users of t-online resalers are also affected so i would suggest, that round about 50% of all uthgard users experienced lags.

and since you haven't paid for playing here you have equal right as each other player.

well but in any case... t-online has the best network. i have never experienced severe connection problems and maybe they don't have that many subscriptions they once had, but they also earn through their resalers, that are using the same network.

in any case, don't mind who chose which isp. just accept, that it is a big part of this community.

i think anyway, if it's the most of the users or just some of them that get the problem, it's not fair to let them get lags.

it's not a war to now if t-online is the best or not, anyway non german don't know it and it's certainly a better internet connection that we can get in belgium.

(18:37:36) (+Baldrug) 1. alte server noch net angekommen
(18:37:49) (+Baldrug) 2. neuer server noch net aufgesetzt
(18:38:09) (+Baldrug) wobei 2. "zeitnah" passieren sollte

*translate*

(18:37:36) (+Baldrug) 1. old server hasn't arrived
(18:37:49) (+Baldrug) 2. new server not set up
(18:38:09) (+Baldrug) whereas 2. should be done in the near future

 Uthgard remains offline until at least tomorrow.

Chances are very good that we can go online tomorrow. Old server arrived here. New server still in the build phase.
