Hi

Please advice me and my son want to play in Albion and we decided on one class : Mercenary

But we can't decide what's the best possible duo class for the merc, after reading the boards here they are saying that Pallies will be underpowered as they will lose DET5 with old RA's? what RA's are in the game now ?

Anyways I was thinking any that class that can support , fight a bit , have some CC and some heals .

Pallies maybe underpowered in group rvr but solo they will shine with 2 100% instand heals .

In Duo with merc a Friar or Cleric can be fine for lvling but i would recommend for your search a Friar he can Support, Heal and Fight. CC does he not have maybe Style Snare or Stun but iam not sure about the friar styls here.

but i always like to say play what you have fun with. not whats the best with it. long time u should have fun on your character

Paladin is the best duo for merc in PvE. Guard and endo are <3<3<3

PVE:
1) Merc + Pally. hands down best option. pally gives endo and holds aggro. merc unleashes positional styles.
2) friar is an ok second choice, cleric is a nice third. give a group a merc and heals and it will be good no matter what.

RVR DUO:
1) minstrel. speed and ghetto cc. because as a duo there are 3 kinds of fights: those you are outnumbered in and will need to run from, those you outnumebr your enemy and they will run from you, and the rare fair fight. without speed, you will never catch that solo, and never escape that fg.
2) friar. for ok heals, buffs, dps, etc.
3) merc. because merc+merc + charge 2, things will die even if you are outnumbered.

RVR group:
1) merc+merc. because uthgard loves DW charge tanks. for pve, rvr, anything. if its not a merc in alb, its garbage. it is also quite nice when you get two charge tanks that work well together.
2) merc+ sorc. this is ok duo but not great. but in a group you offer a solid core (clerics and misnrels are a dime a dozen on uthgard).
