On a scale of laughable to actually decent, how bad would a saracen armsman with 40-50 xbow spec be. 15 dex, 10 qui on creation to maximize xbow dmg.

Something along the lines of:
41 xbow
24 parry
42 shield
44 thrust

OR

41 xbow
16 parry
42 shield
44 thrust
18 polearm (anytime snare)

I'm running out of toons to level on alb, only mising some useless cloth casters, and a useless armsman. It mgiht be entirely for the lulz. but if i could get him to rr5, high xbow+snapshot wouldnt be bad (if they ever fix snapshot).

I might be wrong but.. isn't Crossbow str-based?

If it is dex based the second spec makes more sense.

Tranquilizer+followup for snare, Polearmsnare, Slam.

If it is str-based you should probably go Half-Ogre with Slash.
You can vary your spec here, like 50 XBow, 42 Shield, 18 Pole, 33 Slash.
