Hi my healer Neinnon went LD in Upland just as I engaged in solo combat. Now my client crash whenever I try to log him in. I have tried to log in other characters on the same account on the same computer and it work nicely. It's only my healer I can't log on...

Try to log in with him now.

Nope it doesn't change anything, still can't log him in...
I even tried to delete the character .ini file, but it didn't help... |

We have several players who reported the same. I have no idea what causes this. Maybe it has to do with downpatching 1.112 to 1.109.

So if there is no solution to this... Can I make a new healer and you bump him up to the same lvl and tradeskills and transfer all the equipment from him and his vault? or what do we do?

I'd say run camelot.exe let it patch and replace the .dll afterwards you may be lucky and it runs again.

No, sry. Edit2: @ Blue atleast his location changed. I moved him from Uppland to Jordheim hoping that would be enough to fix it. Blue knows how to perform headshots in daoc!

Which level was your healer? How full was your inventory? What else changed between your last successful login?

I logged in this morning, got killed right there as i was not in a safe spot. respawned in mularn, talked to the healer and the trainer to get my aug to 20 (one up) and then I ran into jorheim ported to svasud and ran up to the skellies in uppland for some soloing, got to lvl 25 and then about 15% (?) into the new lvl it crashed.
I had some loot in my inventory, but not much And then Nerzal moved me to Jordheim to see if that helped |

No? because it breaks some policy so you won't or because you can't? I tried your idea to re-patch and replace the .dll file. but it didn't help. Anything else I can do to fix it? |

I tried to re-install the game. I removed it and manually deleted the folder in the users folder where the char files are, and downloaded the client all from scratch and installed it. still the same problem. any ideas would be appreciated.

I haven't tried all of them ... and I'm not able to test it today, but I have been online with one other character after I confirmed that my healer could not log in.

I got the chance to install on a different computer and try to log on with him from there. It worked, so I moved around a bit and /quit. At least I know there is something wrong on my computer and not on the server. I will do some more testing and if I find a solution I will post it here in case there are someone else with the same problem.

This I have tried and still no luck...
* deleting all the DAoC files in the apps folder * re-patch and putting the new (old) game.dll file in the game folder * re-installing the game * re-installing the game and the portal with all the patching * moving all the game files to a new folder and directing the portal to the new location * moving the portal to a new location * restarting computer That is all I could find in the forums of things to do... does anyone else have an idea. I don't like the idea of starting over with a new main and ending up with the same problem some time in the future and not knowing how to fix it. I can play with any of the other characters that I have made, just not the healer who is my main character... |

Last time we had that case the one solved it with reinstalling the OS. I hope we can find the real cause this time.
Look in the Users folder for Electronic Arts and delete it. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.
