Recently today I went on a Taj1 run expecting to be able to have a fair chance at /random 100. Thebeefytaco types "We will roll at the end of the run'.. So that being said , a nice ring that anyone would of liked to have the chance to roll on drops, One of his buddies randomly types to us "the leader is keeping it for helping'. In wich was never made as a Statement at the beggining of the run. I highly appreciate the run and thought about just letting it go and not worrying about it.. But then i see Silentsong, Wich in fact was not even the person who had recieved the item in the first place, trying to sell it in the /trade.. I think these two are thiefs and do not like to play fair. I would like to post this as Caution to anyone who wants to partake in any kind of event with these individuals.By the way the two people that were in the group - They said we were Extras.. Wich i found very rude as we were both helping the entire time

A ring and greed? Sounds like a story I know.
Anyway, to little information really... You name two people, and say they stole a ring. Your evidence being that one of them tried to sell said ring later. Who helped do Taj1, and who got Taj1 done? Albion and having fun

This thread will be closed for flame and namecalling i guess...

Not if you keep it at a reasonable level of conversation. The forums are meant as an information medium after all, aren't they? Unless one of the members of staff has a different opinion or the thread goes up in flames, it might as well stay open.

This guy is ridiculous. It was a planned taj1 raid by a group of friends.. We were 6/8 and decided to invite some random people. The leader of the raid had already done taj1, I was level 50. We were just helping others, the ring drops and we decide since we're running the event out of our free time the SIX PEOPLE IN VENT will roll afterwards.
You did not even want anything to do with it until you saw me trying to sell it, if you'd asked at the end to roll on it you could've. Not to mention you were afk 70% of the time "holding a child on your lap" as you said I rolled a 95, won the ring. Get over it People are just replying to this topic because they hate me in emain already |

And stop harrasing me in game you fool. Don't tell me to be careful, or watch out. I'm not afraid of you. |

Exactly my point exactly , you 6 were in vent and didn't tell us any information. And we were knowingly outside of vent. This is my problem your trying to tell your story. But it doesn't look good on your part bringing people on a raid and calling us extras.. Tell us this information before you *USE* people.. And actually i was not afk 70% of the time. I was their for all of the fights except maybe a few single mobs. You guys apparently rolled on the items after we had left, And for a purpose im sure, Because I remember you *Silentsong<--(Guildy friend?) saying that Thebeefytaco(Group leader) was getting this item for running this event.. Then you all roll on it afterwards?? I pretty much thought, cool let him have it . Also being a nice guy that i am, believing that he is actually going to use the frickin thing, but no you win it for yourself and try to sell it. I could care less now about any items in game. I just think people should be careful of you, and know how to deal with inconsiderates. Btw dont call me a fool i never harrased you once - Or had any Verbally abusive things to say about you

I've been involved with these situations when I last played daoc and it often becomes an argument. People who have been enjoying each others company suddenly are at each others throats. Basically, inviting someone along who otherwise could not come is a nice gesture. As someone who has been invited, they are subject to your rules. If they desire to be in your raid, then they should be appreciative of the opportunity. So, if you want to keep one/two/three/whatever piece(s) of loot on the raid, that is your choice. If they think you are taking too much, it is their choice whether to leave at this point or not.
The problem with having these rules however, is if you do not want people being upset, you need to announce the rules to them beforehand. Considering no one enjoys announcing rules, that is why people often just do not invite randoms(which is unfortunate), or else they keep the rules really short. This argument has occurred countless times, over every mmorpg there ever was and will be. What often occurred is one of three options: 1) Someone didn't state the rules 2) Someone thought they stated the rules to everyone, but someone wasn't in the group/raid yet 3) Rules were stated, but someone didn't read the rules because they were afk or just didn't notice them. Might as well just state which of the three options you think happened. No point saying things like "we were 6 people and invited you to be nice" because it really doesn't play into what happened. If you explain the rules beforehand, everyone can make up their mind whether they want to take part or not. Also it does not matter if the leader took the piece for himself and then let the 5 other people in vent with him roll on it. If he claimed it, its his. If its his, he can let the other 5 people in vent roll on it if he wants, because....its his. Whoever won the roll can then go sell it, because....it is now their ring. You really cannot assume there is an unsaid "need before greed" agreement in place, because there generally isn't. |

We posted VENT info, if you asked to roll on the item, you could have. Your fault mate.. Cry more fool |

Right, thread is locked. Nothing productive will come of this, especially with the given level of discussion.
