For group rvr ''42 shield / 44 thrust / 46 chant / rest parry'' is the most popular. You need lw1, det5, mob3, purge1, aotg1+ for the beginning. Paladin doesnt need any dmg or regen RA realy.

Cheers!

Level 1 - 48, AT if you can handle it - use crush to level up.

Level 49 - Thidranki thidranki thidranki.

My first realm abilities were LW2, MoB3, AotG1. I will respec out of this at 50, but until you can get Det5, it's pretty meaningless to get it at all honestly.

I personally went with 42 chants, 42 shield, 44 thrust, 17 parry. The gain of 48 chants over 42 wasn't enough for me personally. If you know how to play your paladin and twist chants, you'll be fine. FYI - your fingers will hurt after about 15 minutes of any constant fight. I also went for the higher slight parry spec because like it or not, you ARE the tank of Albion.

Yes, i said it - LW2. You'll notice a huge difference between LW1 & 2. Probably the biggest difference I've ever noticed in any skill between 1-2. I usually don't see major effects until level 4.
If you become irate, angry, wrathful, furious, ireful, wroth or indignent by anything that I say to you or just in general; you should always remember, it's only because I care that I pay attention in the first place.

48 chant is not possible with that spec, i guess you mean 46. You sacrifice better da (np for group), heal and self af buff for %5 more parry chance (which has no use for group rvr). If its for both rvr and raiding, twisting better chants help with the tanking since pally has the lowest dps as a tank. But of corse its matter of taste :)

Imamizer is right, it's about personal taste. I like the 5% parry. He likes the chants perhaps. It's all about personal preference, another reason DAOC is great and has survived so long :) Hell, I even know a 2h pala lol!
So, back to the second part of the Topic, RA's.
My personal opinion is get your LW1 first, who doesn't love sprinting?!. Next, start aiming for MoB3. My reasoning for this is it holds multiple uses. PvE & PvP(personal & to help guard others). By this time you're about all used up until the end of Wilton(43). Next step is Thidranki. Once you start collecting points here I would personally suggest you read through the skills and find what is useful for YOU. I personally chose Purge. After Thidranki, you're likely going to become a group tank and go LW / Det5 / Purge / MoB build anyway. :) If you actually make it past these Realm ranks, start buying things that appeal to you. AotG. WotC. IP if you want to solo. Hope this helps & gives you some ideas.
