Hi everyone, any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm relatively new to uthgard and am not accustomed to the farming systems particularly associated with a classic freeshard. I'm viewing my final template as near impossible to obtain with the amount of money coming in currently, so i want to start a farming system. I made the mistake of making a sorc as my first class on uthgard, which gets no love in farm/raid scene.

Which route would bring the most payoff consistently? I would either make a theurgist/reaver(preferably theurgist as it is cheaper to template) to participate in raids or a cabalist to farm lyonesse and other areas where i could take advantage of focus pull/ae dot. Also considering making a crafter to farm various dropped armors/weapons. Maybe there is something better to do than any of these three options? anyways - appreciate the info.

lvling up should usually bring you if you don't spend too much money on crap to around 4p
that would usually be enough for a cheap cleri template but tbh for rvr its not needed to have the ultimate roxxor template with everything included
its enough to have the "sonnenschein template"
in albion i would do frontier encounters like green knight, evern.
green knight in alb is usually farmed as soon it spawns.

in my opinion solo farming is not as good as getting 2-5 other ppl and raid something bigger.
also a caster template isn't the most expensive either.

Unless you plan on playing a solo class in need of all kinds of gimmicks and bells and whistle in your template, a decent caster or cleric template will not be a big problem to obtain (couple of P from leveling up, then do a few Tajendi runs, dragon raids - maybe the frontier encounters as Akip mentioned) and you will be good to go. The bigger obstacle will be to find a group for RvR that has the determination to go against the established guilds. Albion is pretty inactive in that respect.

But either way, don't think you need some kind of ridiculous uber-template for a group char, that's just not true.

i find it rewarding to craft, tailor is pretty cheap and if you salvage and tinker all you get it pay's back in the end
getting golds is hard, but if you start crafting at low level you can salvage most drops...
as a caster, it also makes you better armor, the stuff you find in drops is not as good as a crafted robe with cheap spelcrafting
i even find myself leveling on green or blue mobs cause they drop better salvage, also df seals can be nice if you can salvage the stuff you buy
