Heys...

Which procs do you put on Minstrel armor, as abs wont that much sense.

Or do you even put charges on feet?

I can imagine haste procs could be nice.

On live I had heal procs as far I remember. Should be an SI drop... So they wont be available here... Or if available much too expensive for a new player...

Also what kind of resi do enemies neglect so I could put on my weapon? Or do you switch weapon/ procs for different kind of enemies?

Thx

Can't you put charges on your instruments? I mean they are already probably 100% and you can't hit anyone with them.

Reactive DD's for armor work ok for Mini's, just beware it will break roots on anyone close enough who might take a swing at you. DOT's are a big no no unless you will be soloing exclusively and yes ablatives are a waste.

As for instruments, I'd go with str/con and dex/qck debuff on two of them; third is whatever you might be lacking. If used right, and with some luck, dex/qck debuff can really cause grief to a bard or any healing class once you "think" their purge is down 8)

Plenty of haste and DA items out there to build a temp with (no swapping).

DDs may work.
DOT are not recommend because a running DOt with break mezz/root.
ablative are NOT useless, as there are a lot of times where your own ablative chant did not run or is already eatej up.

Well there is the question if you plan on grouping or running solo?

DD-Reactive on Armor is fine, just take whatever you like, doesn´t matter much if you go spirit, cold or energy. Do not take Fire-Reactives since it only has 1350 range instead of 1500 like the others.
I use AF-Charge on Flute and DD-Charge on Drum, no need for any other since you barely have spare charge-timers anyway. If you plan to solo you should also have a Dot-Charge somewhere, but keep in mind if you don´t have Befana´s Seal with Dot-Range 1500 it´s harder to get it off.
As a Solo-Minstrel you will have a hard time untill you get close to RR7 but if you keep it going you´ll become one of the strongest 1v1 classes on Uthgard. You need to get (expensive) Items with Buff-charges if you want to go solo because especially with low-RR your HP-Pool is way to small to survive long enough. If i am solo i always run 75 con/str, 75 dex/qui and sometimes AF-Charge, in addition i pot Base-Con and Haste. Since i have to carry so many Potions (Endu-Reg, Mana, Heal) i don´t use Base-Str and Base-Dex.
If you plan to do Group-RvR Harpys Gaze is a must have weapon for any Group-Minstrel since your targets should be Casters and Supporters and they suffer from the Dex/Qui-Debuff-Proc and the Proc-Rate is nice. When soloing i use Basalt Sword most of the time or depending on enemy Harpys Gaze as well.
If you don´t want to respec your RA´s several times a week you have to make a decission if you want to solo or group cause some of the Realm-Abilites you need to have for Group-RvR are useless for Solo-RvR and vice versa.
If you plan to focus on Group-RvR just always keep in mind that you are not supposed to do Damage....

So long, Spooki

If you kite properly you can do just fine with rr4 as well without using too much expensive buff charges

Yes if you don´t mind ending up with 10%-15% Hp´s after an Auto-attack+Viper3+con/str-Debuff from any NS/SB around....

True... being attacked by a SB last night in DF, I insta stunned and mezzed him + IPed... + used heal pot.. dot still ticked me down to like 20 %.. ok, I am 48 (cap sc at that lvl, though) - but this is really insane :-)

I have no purge yet, but wouldnt have helped a lot, as ofc he poisened me again.

Would it be possible to use First Aid while Dot is active? As IP + healpot is not enough, I dont see many alternatives to getting FA sometime.

I dont think so, but I like it very much...
- nice anytime
- sidestyle snare in order to kite

... but there are quite some downsides...
- you suffer from str/con debuff a lot
- some enemy armor is slash-resistant... (some shady knowledge from 7 years ago) dont remember which^^

You don't deal damage before the s/c debuff, so you don't deal any afterwards :D
For armor resistances take a look at http://camelot.allakhazam.com/weapon_effect.html.

Overall I'd suggest to go slash, even as saracen. Better style utility, except if you go for 44thrust

minstrel is heavily overrated on uth, most ppl think u can just kite everything to death which is just not the case. usually as a minst u cant kill fast enough and you ll end up either u get added or ur opponent :D
and get epic chest for AF charge since it just ve 2min timer instead of 3.

but still best class for stealth zerg with AM3 =)
