i have a 1160 armorcrafter, i get orders for Mp sets all the time but i can't make them cause i need a tailor to make me the linings...

this is a small community, and i think it's unfair to ask a tailor to spend half a week of his gaming time just to make me the linings needed to make that MP set.....

i skilled my tailoring as far as possible and i can make lvl 36 plate and chain, i can even make most of a 46 set, just the torso linings are too high to make..

why not kill the 75% restriction on secondary skill? we have a small community, it's allmost impossible to find a tailor who will stay online, making the linings you need, and i don't think it's a good idea to order 20 linings, spend all your money on them, and have 2% chance to make a MP with those,....

you changed the game by giving every char the possibility to start every crafting line, only armor crafters are discriminated and need other players to do their job... just let me skilll my armorcrafter in tayloring so he can make lvl 51 on his own, this community is too small to work well with the restrittions we have atm

hoping for an answer

hm don't know how it is in albion but there's a tailor available in our guild most of the time. I wouldn't say the restrictions should be removed, then you could allow all trades on all chars, too. Vice Versa, why should armorcrafters be allowed to train tailoring full while tailors are not?

just try to find a tailor who is willing to make linings for you at 9h00 in the morning and keep on doeing that till late in the evening?
just to make 99% set it takes a lot of muling, begging people, waiting and planning, full vault, not enough space in backpack to put all the materials... armorcrafter is the only one who has tose restrictions, all other crafters can make everything withouth help

so i don't understand what you mean, taitors not allowed to train? atm they are the only chars allowed to train full tailoring if you ask me
and they don't need to train other skills to make what they want...

nah i just meant if armorcrafter can do full tailoring tailors should be allowed to do full armorcraft, too :)

i did linings for a 99% armor yesterday, took us about 40 minutes to finish it with the armorcrafter having ~1090 skill, if u want to make mp's i suggest making a lining mule or so which you can have logged bye, for example, guild mates to supply you with linings.

I agree with Monty and in my opinion there is no problem with that. Every class can become any of the crafters, what's not live-like. So removing of the restriction should be ok I think.

Test Version 1.87c Release Notes
Battleground and Tradeskill Changes
December 21, 2006

===================================

TRADESKILL CHANGES

Restriction Removal

- Characters can now skill up completely in any tradeskill. The system of primary and secondary tradeskills (where secondary tradeskills were capped according to the current skill amount the primary tradeskill) has been removed.

- Tradeskills no longer have class restrictions. A character can choose any tradeskill.

- Characters can now have multiple tradeskills. To pick up a tradeskill a character does not have, speak to the tradeskill trainer. Please note that there is no limit to the amount of tradeskills a character can have. Your character can now choose and skill up in all of them.

i didn't ask for all this, just asked to remove the 75% restriction on armorcrafter secondary skill, i have no problem with logging other chars to weaponcraft, fletch or spellcraft, i just want to be able to make lvl 51 armor, as all other crafter skills can make lvl 51 stuff withouth help..

i hope they change it soon

because taylors can make their lvl 51 stuff without bothering other ppl

maybe a vault were all chars on one acc have acces too would solve most crafters problems

Tbh this System would be kinda crap. The Armorcrafter/Tailor should then be renamed to "ultimate Crafter",since he can cap anything but Sc and Alchi. So no more need for specialized Weaponcrafters etc.,create 1 crafter, cap everything, and done -.-.
Thats not what the crafting system was supposed to be,at least up until this Patch 1.87,and since nearly every change in 1.87 is kinda...well yeah whatever, this change also shouldn´t be implemented.

Just my 2 cents

I think there are enough tailor on the albion side that you get your stuff and if you need place for mule make you a mule acount so jou have 8 characters with much fre inventar space and vault space. and for mule i think you find everytime someone. (Allone in The AoI min 4-1 Leg tailor)
and i know some other to.

You should be glad that you only have to wait for a tailor to craft you inlays.
I can remember the time when armorcrafters had to craft single blanks for
reinforced armor...actually that was pre 1.47 i think

Of course waiting-times suck, but thats the way of a mmorpg - play together
with other guys doing best if you help each other. Btw. you can powercraft a
tailor to legendary in around 1-3days at an overall cost of ~1-2plat.

nice of you all to give your personal opnion, and as usual acting as requests made by someone else are allways bad requests...

btw, i have a legendary tailor that's not the point...

my point is: all craft skills can work on their own, tailor can even make studded armor withouth help, so why do you skill armorcraft? right, to make chain and plate... but you can't make it on your own, you allways need to beg for a tailor to help you, or skill a tailor, make linings, run around and look for someone who can mule.. (try to find someone having 20 free slots is hard, but try that at 9h00 in the morning and you will get my point...

i skilled my armorcrafter's secondary (tailor) so i can make linings too, but i can't make the higher stuff, so i'm limited on that

so i just made a simple request, plz take away that 75% restriction so i can skill my tailoring higher...

it's like a weaponcrafter would need a second crafter to make the handles of polearms cause woodworking is done by another crafter, or fletcher needing a tailor to make the strings for his bows...

or maybe make it even more simple, change the npc selling the low lvl linings and make him sell the ones needed for lvl 51...

and all those telling me there are a lot of tailors, and muling is totally no problem, i have a free day tomorrow and i need to make 2 MP sets, any of you want to help me? making the linings or muling stuff all the time? i'll be in cam city tomorrow morning at 09h00 and will be crafting all day, hope to see you guy's there...
