If an infi or ns gets you into melee something went wrong before.
There is no rule you have to let them melee you down especially at low RR, but almost everyone kites when its too late.
Position in the enemies back, Crit shot + 1 rapid fire, dommel charge, speed buff, rapid fire free rp.
It's not rocket science.

Playing Uthgard for 4 months now, Siarien was the only Hunter I ever saw kiting... my lvl 49 Reaver.... RR1... after he opened fight ... after he IPed... Anyway, after speedburst (I had no charge with me, no insta ready) he came back and finished me! Chapeau!

No hunter ever tried to kite my minstrel They all meleed and it was like 50/50 winning and losing. Pet + Spear is mean damage

I remember that. Well, my Hunter is RR8, but this kind of fights are typically for hunters. And it has a reason why almost all hunters here are meleed: Bowhunter is senseless. I tried it more than one time before i believed it.

spec more than 35 bow is complete bullshit ..... the dmg wont increase.
kiting wont work in most cases, because after you critshot you lose camuflage and then you will get dot or dd charge when youre trying to shoot again...
using dot charge and kit away with speedburst wont work too because the speed breaks on every dmg you get and every dmg you do even charges.
btw we are not in 2003 anymore very few ppl are dumb enough to run after you.
i would prefer the 35 35 39 42 spec.
actually is respeced to 28 bow because in most cases you only need the critshot + maybe one following shot and then you need melee dmg!!
i did not notice any difference in dmg betweene 35 and 28 bow....

but in the end i think you have to try that out.... i would like to see a successful sniper hunter, but i am very sure this is not possible on uthgard... was hardly possible on live too

with a pet kiting should be possible...let them use charges how much they want, why do i need to turn and shoot? if they keep running, pet will kill them sooner or later...if they turn on pet i turn and shoot ...theory only, sure, but sounds fine to me

Because u never tried to be opti i guess, koby full dext ,with last d/q purple , with dext potion , and add damage 11 value( yes its work =D), with aug dext or falcon eyes, You will see how hard damage u will make with bow. Even with 5.0 speed

Running full bow spec and in the next post crying that it's so hard to kill anything makes a lot of sense - not.

A lot of the reason to spec higher in bow - aside from the decrease in dmg variance - is for the skills. Sure shot, RF2, etc are nice things to have. Volly can be situational.

all you need is critshot and rapidfire... the rest is crap, so not more than 35 bow needed!

Beware! Got IP + DD-charge on backslot And after some Thid-experience I play slightly better (using Aura when appropriate) - at least 1-1 and 1-2 - group play still sucks Wave to RunTrain

not sure why hunter pets run faster than any other pet
