Highlander Pally - slash or thrust?

I been doing some reading on Uthgard Paladins and i see a lot spec thrust for the snare for RvR. As a highlander is that a good choice with thrust damage being based 50/50 str/dex?

It's not that slow, if there is a bubble you'll just need to adjust to it. Such as swapping back to the 1h to break bubbles between swings. I also have a 2nd weapon I swap out to (4.5 speed) specifically for faster snares. Anyway, I'm assuming this dude only wants slash or thrust. My suggestion: If you don't go all the way to 44 Thrust, go Slash. "It's not fair unless I'm winning!"
