I have been killing granite giants since they were orange. Suddenly I'm getting about 25% more resists. I haven't seen anything about an update to raise ice resists on mobs, but this doesn't appear to be a string of bad luck resists. It is consistently more resists per mob, ever mob. They yellowed to me 2 days ago, and then today they are still yellow, but taking 1-2 pets more to kill. Anyone else seeing this trend?

Yes. I noticed it too. I now need one or even two pets more than some days ago. Something must have changed the last days.

They made it so snare nukes are 2 different spells instead of just one where the snare component is only resisted if the spell itself is.

[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

How does that affect the spell doing damage? Even if it were two different spells, the ice damage part is what concerns me. Unless if the snare gets resisted then both get resisted? That would explain it. The snare has gotten resisted on me quite a bit, which is not a major concern, but starting today (didn't play yesterday), the ice damage portion has been getting resisted much more frequently, than it has in the past. And it's consistent over 100 mobs.

that would actually match livelike. snarenukes on live had higher resist rates. instead of 15% resist rates for dds, a snarenuke or lifetap had something closer to a ~=25% resist rate. the common theory was that it was effetively checking resists twice and only landing if both parts of the spell landed. but who know what basis was used when they changed it on uthgard.

That confirms and makes sense. I didn't see a patch notice, or any type of announcement in regards to this topic, so was just concerned. Thanks much for the insight, it's appreciated. :)

The patch note reads so positiv but it is a drastic nerf. Any gm can confirm this is wanted?
PS just had 6 resists in a row.... that is no fun anymore

Are you serious?

The DD NEVER resisted even against level 80+. The behavior was completely wrong and was caused by another bugfix from 06.04.2013. Sure you will see that resists are back to normal as both snare and DD are coupled again.
It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

Nice that nobody reported it but starting to QQ when its fixed. Ridiculous.

There won't be no qq (or even is there qq?) if patch notes would read like... "dd resist rates were too high - dds get now resisted properly (like 25% against yellow con mobs)" - but patch notes read like Ice pet were enhanced.

I just rolled theurg a few weeks ago and must have fallen into that window where it was bugged - so I could not know what mechanic was correct. I have to admit that xping theurg was wtf - they implemented necro? :-)

Oh, I wasn't crying. I was just confirming that it wasn't my imagination. Honestly, they were OP for PvE, and having not played live in ummm... 6 years or so? I had no idea. So, a patch note saying that they were "fixed" would have been nice. I didn't see one, so posted here. Needless to say, I still like Theurgists, and intend to keep playing, and to mostly solo or duo as well.

does this apply to air pets as well or only snare dd?
