Hey everyone,

It has been so long since I have played this game that I might as well be brand new again. I started playing today and managed to get up to level 8 and I have my full recruit set and a second weapon (Duel Wield spec). I was told by using advice channel to go full DW to level and remainder points into crush. I was using the stickied guide that is posted in this forum, but it is designed with a fire wiz in mind, so I was curious if there is maybe a better source I could look at for melee leveling possibly? The snake grind from 7-8 wasn't to terrible, but the orange snakes were pretty rough and I had to rest pretty regularly after a few yellows, thankfully I got a few people running by who gave me buffs and made it rather easy during those periods.

Very experienced PvP MMO player, also looking for a badass RvR guild group for end game RvR. I can list my past qualifications if need be, thanks again and any helpful tips n tricks are welcome! Thanks for reading!

You can do kill tasks up to level 20. And ye, get used to it - solo killing mobs is hard - try to get into groups.

and I would know a taskmasker... how? I would imagine that I only do task in a certain area until I out grow it, so when would I go to a new taskmaster?

You have to "/whisper task" to some special guards

For very low level that would be the one in Cotsworld - maybe Cemmeth B...? Dont remember

Then the guard at Prydwen Bridge

At level 10 you task in Western Downs...

At level 15 in Adribars Retreat...

I hope that is correct - I am no big fan of tasking - but lots of players say it goes fast.

Another tipp - after killing a mob the camp bonus (bonus for time mob wasnt killed since spawn) goes down to zero on Uthgard - so it is a good idea to roam a bit or change spots. Sometimes I even log in char, kill all mobs at spot, then log out for 1-2 hours and do something else. Then log in again to get full bonus.

If you solo kill a yellow mob with full camp bonus, that should give you (almost) cap xp - so you dont need to kill too hard oj mobs. Even killing blue with full camp bonus can be worth it.

Be sure to check out special areas, where you get bonus xp - that would be rvr areas - like frontiers (from about level 18), Darkness Falls (from about 15) or Hall of Corrupt (from about 35?).

Task @ Caer Witrin from about lv 15 to 20.

You can task in Camelot until 20. You'll never have to leave.

What is the "cap" for xp per mob? How long does it takes mob to get up to capped camp bonus xp? Those would be good to figure out a nice path to farm and just do it over and over if there were good camps nearby one another.

Thanks for the taskmaster suggestion! These were great once I got to know the area and where the mobs spawned consistently. It seemed to go pretty fast, got up to 15 today, not sure how I am going to upgrade gear... but when blue mobs start owning me I guess I can worry about that =P

cap xp - most possible xp you can gain by killing one mob

That is reached if you solo kill yellow with max camp bonus - or for example high ora with no camp bonus or litte... killing reds would make no sense, as you dont get more xp.

Cap xp depends on char level.

Here on uthgard if you kill a mob, camp bonus is zero and beginns raising again. I cant tell exact numbers, but I guess you need to wait at least 1-2 hours to get good camp bonus again. Thats why I logg in, clear camp, log out for 2 hours doing smth else... to max my xp per played time.
