ah sorry, well then not thank you...clearly you had no idea Abydos would remove those gems since they don't fit with our patch level, since he never does such a thing...so...yeah, you're right, you had nothing to do with the removal which was iniated by your post.

@Smokey:
You can still build templates, but it's gotten even harder, because now you have to use even more mp's then before and you have to use even more expensive dragon/legion/taj drops to compensate for it.
I don't know if the +melee gems were used often, but the +magic gems were used in about 95% of the caster/healer temps

Perhaps not if you got enough plats to buy those items. Which will get more expensive now aswell. In, come the guild farming groups, perma farming certain bosses in Tajendi (which is live like afterall). For a beginning player, this just means another slap in the face (read: invest more time). Which btw just hade one, the difficulty mob wise. Which means that either you build the perfect group or lvl alone.

For your information, I've played on and off this server for years and I never managed to get more then a couple of plats. Not that I put any effort in it, nor could I care about it. I never get any groups in emain RvR anyways.

well ever thought about what ppl did on live? they didnt had tajendi items either, so i guess they just ran without any armor or jewlery at all 8)

But they did have SI. But yes some people ran in less then perfect templates. The point is that (spell) crafting put everyone on equal terms (well somewhat anyways).

Nice try. Before SI everyone ran in less then perfect templates. The point is getting to 1.69? Was SI live then? But to answer your question, yes I bought that expansion back in those days.

4-5plat? This includes buying a full set of 99% gear and a staff (with +50 focus to all lines?) aswell as asking a sc'r to craft this for you (7 parts)? Lets not forget buying the jewelry that you will need to cap your template? Perhaps. But still those casters want to get 50 focus to all lines though, as this could make a difference in your mana spending. Which brings us back on topic. Why remove these gems in the first place?

Why is it always nerf patches, that sucks so bad. Staff ,with all your worse fixing you just forget one thing,- the community. What shall be next? Erase houses and killing mounts?

Next (unpopular) and last big issue will be item degradation. I think then we are done with the uncomfortable changes. The last of these kind was in June 2012. Now we have May 2013. 11 months with no harming change. We don't do that frequently, its in your perception.

Hi,

you know what? In my opinion the Staff is doing exactly the right thing. There is a goal for that Server... a Goal, that everyone knows. Everyone has a chance to take a look, which features belong to that goal, and which features do not. Everyone has a Chance, to decide, if he wants to play on a server with this Features (the existing features aswell as the missing ones)... no one is forced to play here.

Yes, i am sure for most people it is surprising, at what speed features are removed on the way towards this goal these days. But for me, it is not. I am playing here for two and half years... and in this time, the whining ingame and in this Forum gets bigger and bigger. Everyday i read what is all bad here, what a bad job the gms do... and people argument in a way, like they have the right to raise claim about the decisions, how the server should be.

But People dont have that right, because it is not there server. Guys, no one of you is the middle of the world...

If i was a gm on this server, i really would be ****** about the behaviour of many People... and i would be very disappointed of that big big lack of thankfullness for what the gms do.

If i was a gm, i would force all these "bitter" changes in the hope, that maybe at some time soon a point will be reached, where all these whiners go...

Not sure if this is the motivation for all these fast changes in the last days... but it smells like that... and i can fully understand the staff.

With 1.69:

NO RR 11+12
NO Mounts
NO Ingame-Map
NO Starter Quest
NO ....

Balancing Gameplay is hard job to do. But why always prefer the ones that HAVE, and making progress even harder for those who want to.
Guess most of the Players used to Play this Game on Uthgard for Years GOT their stuff in Vault:

Got Full-SCed Chars
Got Barrels
Got Cleansings
Got .....

So its kinda disadvantaging for Players who start.

Hint: Instead of spending hours fighting Mobs and earn Money the hard way, study Patch-Notes instead and hoard Items. Make a refrence at the right time and sell at exorbitant prices.
