I'll admit.. I am addicted to this game but changes like these are a good start on the rehab process. My druid was spared the wrath for now but my new warden template just got sh!t on. When will item degradation take place and my druid's days become numbered? I wanna know when I'll finally finish rehab, I can tolerate the SC gems being removed as stupid as that was, but there's no way I'll be raiding and crafting all my gear again to keep RvR'ing.

They're purchase only, from the horse merchant page 2 (or 3?)

They are a luxury item. ATM its not possible to place guild emblems on them but that feature is coming (again for a luxury fee).

Yep. And the horses that wear them have been beaten to death, so don't try to repeat the same "argument". We have a specific objective in mind in offering these.

If I remember correctly, this means the items will lose durability (not stay on 99 like now) until it lowers to zero, then you can't repair the item anymore, meaning you have to replace it, right?

There is no problem with that in my opinion. The only problem in relation with the recent change is, that once a crafted item with +all melee/+all magic can't be repaired anymore, you can't just replace this item with a new one. You have to build a whole new template for your char.

be happy they didn't remove all the +1 melee/magic from all items that already have it...though that would cause some serious rebellion i guess :D

We all know where the server is heading, not like it should come as a big surprise to people.
Yes, some things are still here which shouldn't be, but most will be removed along the way.

As I understand it, the following will not be done:

- Take away stuff people have earned; so no taking away RR's, mounts, etc... that people have.

This is the key thing people have a hard time understand. Uthgard staff has never made a patch that suddenly removed things from your inventory (unless it was bugged or had a major impact on the game, like crush spears...), which wasn't a mistake. But they will remove the option of getting these things.

- OF RA's; because it's a huge mess, and very hard to code from scratch, let alone the fact that a lot of the RA's has no documentation.
- Removal of Uthalis; because this is the "you've helped make Uthgard a better place" currency. Giving it at events I'm not sure why, but the currency has a place here.
- Implementation of 1.69 patch level things that were clearly bugged (or a big mistake) at the time; so if Vendo Caves had a graphic hole, which people fell through, this wont be part of Uthgard ;)
- Anything ToA, apart from skins.

Most templates are near capped anyway, with people switching in charge items, so don't really see why this is such a big deal...
Besides, SI will come, and then you'll need to redo templates again anyway :)


Edit: For one, I suspect Taj will be removed when SI launches... it would make a lot of sense anyway, as Taj has served as a way of compensating for SI not being implemented.
