After having spent my DaoC years on Midgard/Merlin the DaoC/Old Frontiers bug has cought me again and I started on Uthgard yesterday again. (Great feeling to see the old places and hear the music again

I'm still dithering however about which class to play. I'm looking for a toon that is useful in RvR but also wanted in raids etc (remembering how painful the levelling up to 50 was all these years ago). I'm open to anything, except playing a healer.

So, I used to play a Skald, feel comfortable with the class and would play it again if this is still a useful RvR/raid class.
I stated a Hunter yesterday as I quite like the ranged damage role in RvR, but I'm not sure how keen RvR /raid groups really are on a Bow Hunter as hardly anyone was spamming for a Hunter yesterday. Zerkers seem to be welcome, but I assume they are still a bit one trick dps ponies?

So any advice would be very welcome, thanks in advance

Skalds are useful in RvR/PvE but are not looked for in high numbers.
For Raids you will often be asked if you got AotG2.

But it is still a viable class and - most important - if you like to play it, then go for it!
