Hello Uthgard!! Cant believe I didnt know about this sooner!

Posting in here to see if there are any guilds / alliances that Have a good number of Players and migth be around more often during my usual play times.

I am Located in NJ, I work 9-5 every week day, im mostly available After 8:00 PM for an hour or two. with Sporatic Game time on the weekends, usually mostly available on a Sunday
(Sunday is a day where I can geek out and spend multiple hours doing something lol)

Now obviously my schedule keeps me from being hardcore as I was, but I prefer the hardcore experience, so I will be looking for guild with crazy people in it who are consistently looking for Just That One More Kill!

Also a guild that would be willing to help members get into the higher tier action, since I dont remember ANYTHING about the leveling process and have a general hatred towards questing in order to lvl up.

So here is some more about myself.

Im not young, I have 2 children of my own and my Wife and I are both Gamers / Computer repair / Enthusiasts.

personally, Ive been building and overclocking PC's for about 18 years and have been a Gamer since I was 3 years old, where I learned how to operate the Commodore 64 =)

I am a 5 or 6 year DaoC Veteran, I started on Midgard when SI was released but played randomly on a friends account before hand. I played a Bone Dancer up to rr10 before they nerfed it.

A few months after TOA was released I left the game and came back once the Classic Server cluster was released. I just wasnt able to afford the time for such ridiculous ToA trials.. If i was to spend that sort of time, I spent it in RvR action.

I decided to try Hib at that time and joined a guild named the Knights of Nee (I really miss these guys)

Before long I had a few top notch characters that I did well with.

Firstly I was a Twink Fiend. I had a twink in every BG and at least 2 toons for each.

My End game characters:

Polarmsman - Pretty much decked out, I think rr12
Friar - Amazing character, capped Realm Rank
Cleric - Did pretty well, though it was my first time playing healer class in MMO.
Cabalist - Straight forward, think he only got to rr9 ish.

My polarmsman was originally just a Molvik Twink, but I had so much fun with it, and murdered sooooo many people in Molvik, decided he needed to become top tier material, so that and the friar were my primary classes, with the cleric for when heals were needed.

I was also a 2 year Warhammer Online player Really wish that game turned out just a little bit better because I truly enjoyed the RvR and successfully ran Saturday and Sunday Morning Server Raids for a very long time. By the time I stopped playing I had 3 end game characters mostly fully geared and Capped RR.

I miss my Sorc and Orc ;p

So please do if you think you want me, and you think the play times work well, then please do let me know! I am going to be downloading this tonight and seeing if I can get started =)

Thank you!

My advice is just level up a toon that will be good for raids(cleric/theu/pally/reaver) and get it to 50 while hanging out in clan cots. Eventually you will find a good guild.

This is a Euro server so American times are always lower population but you can still find groups for most things.

There is a lot of weird quirks for Uthgard so just learn how the server works.
There will be a group of people out there who will want this realm to be entirely Mythic-like. Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla.

These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.

If you want to 8v8 with this toon....
- reaver

If you want to do small men pvp... (most 8v8 is at euro prime time)...
- pala

If you consider the mass of newly made theurgs....
- theu

If you want to be able to solo pve for xp...
- cleric

Well :-)

I started with a Theurg since I never actually played one in the old days. Thought it would be good to try it out.

Is there any mods to download for this? I'm having a hard time getting used to the game again. Forgot how raw this game really was lol.

Since this is classic, does that mean the Cata instances are gone as well as the noobie dungeon RvR place? i forgot the name but it was for like lvls 1-5 and 9 or something.

You mentioned 8 man rvr is best for European Peak times. Can you figure what times that would be?

also, If I were to duo with a friend, for the sake of having Fun in the BG's and eventually end game rvr, what might be suggested class wise.

Also, I wanted to know, Smite Cleric used to be one of my fav classes, how are they in uthrgard classic?

ah thats just a downer. At that point im sure the Friar does much better.

Think I might start a reaver, Il try to dig through the Alb forums here and see if theres any suggestions for reaver, never played one before.

Currently lvling a theurg, dont know good starting builds, so im just going ice for now.

My first level 50 on classic was a smite cleric. Unfortunately they are gimpy as hell here. 5 min on AE mezz. Sux.

Euro times = morning times in America.

Duo classes can vary there is no set duo setup.

If you want a good mod for the game IMO Bobui is by far the best google it.

Ask questions in clan cots, that is what its there for. Get answers much quicker then this forum.
