Hey guys, I am relatively new to Uthgard as I started about a week ago. During this week I had a hard time choosing a Realm/Class so I tried out a bunch and I have ultimately ended up in Albion as a Scout. I am aware this is going to be an uphill battle as Scout is not an easy class to level, and is also not really desired by groups. What can I say? I have a thing for archer classes and I am ready for the challenge.

That being said I have a weird schedule and I play mostly from 11-5 am EST. Not sure if there are any other english speaking players that play at these crazy hours but I am looking for people to play with. I am also looking for a English speaking guild.

Any Scout advice is appreciated, as this is my first play through of the class. I am currently level 13, and am keeping Thrust at my level while dumping the rest of my points into shield (I am trying to auto train bow).

If anyone around level 13 wants to group or if any guild is recruiting my in game name is Raeve.

See you guys in game~

Solo game is highly dependant of proper gear, charges and pots. Will be almost impossible to rise funds for that with only scout. Either fight hard or think of an alt... like pala, cleric, theurg or reaver - which are the alb raid classes.

Thanks for the advice, looks like I'll have to fight hard as I really don't want to roll a character just to be able to play another. Like I said I know its going to be rough but it's better than rolling a class I don't want to play just to fund another that I actually do.

Indeed, I wasn't sure how much not auto training would mess up your character but I did some research and found out that its pretty necessary. So far it hasn't been too bad, my biggest struggle has been to keep gear my level.

Funding will be the hard part as they mentioned.

I was thinking the same way as you but then I remember I only had fun with my Scout in old DAOC because I had 5 50's with max Plat on each. (we had a cool SI camp with multiple mule accounts for salvaging, could max your gold out in about a day).

since im new here I decided that I should get comfy first with a 50's that will get into the action easily and hopefully save up enough for the more fun twinkies.

Too bad about no /xp off..

Yeah I saw your post, I was actually psyched to see someone else going for it. Honestly I know the "smart" thing to do would to be level something that will get groups. But for the first time in a long time I'm not going to rush to end game just to play a class I wasn't happy with to get groups.

If it takes me months to hit 50 so be it.

Gl with your choice though, as I said it is the smarter choice. If you for whatever reason want to group with a Scout (Not sure what level you are) feel free to msg me.

im StormX on my theurg, I think I hitlvl 10 or 9 last night.

I will most likely be leveling alts randomly too though, I get bored of the same class pretty quickly.

Historically speaking, im always the slowest to get to end game content in games cus I tend to play as many classes as the game will let me lol

I might decide rather than going the route of the Scout, that I might go Minstrel to pal around with stealthers as bait in the BG's, which I would be less inclined to spend gold on twinking a character that I cant /xp off with =(
