Im leveling a warrior and have a few questions:
1. Is there any damage difference at between speccing 50hammer and 44hammer? (Considering the specs 50shield 44hammer rest parry, or 50shield 50hammer rest parry.) 2. Do dd procs on shields proc from guarding/blocking? (Whats the best proc on a shield? dd, ablative or something else?) 3. If you do a backsnare and a dd procs with the same style, will the dd proc break the snare? |
|
no, snare will be applied at the end |

I would like someone to confirm, but I think: For leveling, put a weapon DD proc on shield. (Yes, you can proc the DD by blocking or attacking with shield) At 50, use a large shield for guarding/tanking and put a reactive ablative on it. Also use a small shield for slamming, 1v1, etc, and put a weapon DD proc on it. Nezix - 50 Minstrel <The Band>

Ok thanks. Ill put a dd proc on my hammer then.
Ok thanks. I will put an ablative on my shield. |

50+11 hammer spec will increase your chance to do max dmg at swing, and minimize chance to do lowerst dmg. imo 50 is too high, wasting points. |

i tend to run with 3 small shields and one large shield on my warrior.
3x small shields have MHB, Matter Proc and Celerity (colour coded as well ![]() 1x Large shield has MHB on it. i like the celerity on a shield because i slam, get haste and put out some burst damage with my 2hander ![]() the matter proc is useful if there is no root/mes in group as over time it does more damage than a DD. The large shield has the MHB because the only time i'd use the large is when i have multiple attackers, then the little bit of MHB would really help. that's the way i roll anyway ![]() EDIT: Yes you can put Reactives on a shield and it will go off on shield attack and block. EDIT2: I also recall that each single point increase in spec equates to around 9 max damage; not sure how accurate this was though. |

Celerity proc is normal haste buff, no? So depending on it to proc during slam is kinda dumb, better buff yourself haste before combat...whether is it asking your healer, buffing with pot or blocking grey mob till it procs. Also, dot proc shields are only for solo, I've never heard about a GROUP that has no cc xD. If you wanna save yourself trouble from swapping shields and just use one, get Brimstone shield of chaos, 3.2 speed large shield. It's fast, doesn't eat much endo and really the only downside is DD proc...but it does not break root that often, so it's fine.
"He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. The warm intimacies of small, kindly things, the sentiments and delicious trivialities that make up so much of civilized men's lives were meaningless to him. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women." |

i tend to run in a duo most days so "grouping" refers to my and my heal/sham partner. Occasionally we run 2x classes with no CC, just depends on the mood
more often than not im content to use 1handers in combat, but if a haste proc goes off i will switch to 2 hander. I dont consider myself even an average rvr player, but i do ok. |

the normal haste buff is something that is better charged (for example bracelet of the winds) or used a pot for, if you have to charge too many other things. The pots usually cost between 15-20g in hz, so quite expensive. Search for speed in hz.
But this way you can get the haste buff at any time you want it or even have it perma up instead of relying on a shield proc... and yes it is the normal haste buff (10 minutes) not celerety (30 seconds). A celerity proc would rule, but as far as i know such does not exist. |

Do Drachengarde Healer have other Celerity then the rest? Or why your Celerity is 30 sec instead of 20

No |

it's been a while since i looked but i think it's the "Volatile Celeric Arcanium Weapon Tincture" which offers a 15 or 30 second Self Haste buff; can't remember the increase percentage either.
