Bro, any modern food has a chance of giving you cancer. You need to understand that cows/chickens/any other animals are nowadays confided in small space, they are fed to rapidly fatten up(food filled with various anabolic steroids and additives) and then slaughtered and processed(additional additives). I can tell you from experience that in my country you can still buy meat from animals that were fed with natural food(more expensive for the farmer and not a part of a big industry) and that were moving around a huge field or yard in case of chickens. It tastes better and it's healthier. On your other question, I think red meat contains enzymes that no veggie or substitute food can replace. Key is in moderation. Eat everything and make your diet balanced. If you eat 20 steaks weekly, ofc it's not good xD.

"He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. The warm intimacies of small, kindly things, the sentiments and delicious trivialities that make up so much of civilized men's lives were meaningless to him. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women."

To be honest, who knows all about cancer etc.. you believe someone.. they are sure? 100%, they're are supplement companies telling you things are tested and are lets say 90% whey protein isolate but under the laws of supplement act etc.. it only contains say 5% isolate and remaining is crappy bulking concentrate protein (basically crap ******), yet all over the media.. same principle applies, you can't really trust someone 100%...

In terms of steak, steak is one of the best protein based meats you can eat, mainly because it's amino acid profile is basically one of the best one can get from food and also high in kcals, great for increasing total energy and towards growth of muscle tissue and obviously it's very high in protein against it's weight in grams.

You should be much more concerned about things such as drinking the tap water without a filter than minor things such as "i heard eating white meat is causing more cancer victims..", think logically, how many chemicals go through a water system... yet aren't filtered.. I know all about this as I resesarched it for photoshoot reasons regarding water retention, as different areas will have different things in the water, such as higher sodium & potassium levels (which can seriously ****** your water retention up on a contest level standard).... Some may say this is all bullshit, but then again I've seen the difference it made in my photoshoot preps.

My current post workout is; a isolate protein shake (double scoop), 5g taurine, 5g BCAAs, 5g creatine, consumed after training..
Once home I'll eat a standard meal such as chicken breast/steak/beef mince with a complex carb sweet potoatoe/rice/pasta etc.. along with veg etc.. You should always bare in mind, PRE WORKOUT meals / shakes are equally as important as after.. if you don't have enough fuel in the tank... it's not going to be able to drive itself to the limits to adaptation as well as it would... obviously everything depends directly on your set targets/goals.

Also bare in mind, meat is a business... when business is related, people lye... and so do the government, majority of animals are injectables / feed with enhancement agents such as steroids, prohormones and other supplementation to increase they're yield product.. & if you were being able to get 20 steaks a week alongside complex carbs + veg, you'll be noticing how good a good steak is for muscle tissue growth, as you'll strength / size will be rapidly increasing more than you can imagine.. Amino Acids from foods are much better than supplements..

Yeah, was a daily progression picture, to enable myself to monitor water retention levels in final 7 days of a photo-shoot preparation.
