The stupidity of most shamans seems to be a valid reason for the 50buff spec

don't forget the PBDis can be used to supplement the peelers job. If the war is too busy or there is a split assist the war can block for one and the sham can disease the others.

...he doesn't have to be at the front to use it.

So the shaman has to run to the enemy AT to disease them? Not a good idea :D

And disease on tanks that are at theyr target does not help a lot anyway, since the snare fix the target will not get away most of the time.

Evil mercs with their backsnare

Nevermind, but especially in these situations the disease makes the difference, because if both parties (warrior & bm f.e.) snare their target, the offtank will stay in range.

Yes, a shaman has to push the enemy tanks, it is definitely wrong as a shaman to do your shear/root/cast disease and just wait for the offtanks to push your backline and press the aoe disease as soon as they pass you.
And sure, disease is just a snare - the heal reduction is useless :gaga:

like the merc anytime snare...
when the target is snared it has no chance to get away even if the attacker is snared and disesed himself, disease doesnt matter anything in that case.

shaman running to tanks to instadisease them is a good example of why instadisease just makes shamans do stupid things... and on the other hand without these stupid things instadisease isn't worth skilling it = instadisease is just a stupid thing, not worth to trade red d/q, better healing and ae shears for it. That is all i am trying to say over and over again here. 8)

But everyone should skill like it suits him best, there is no right or wrong here. I am just happy all our shamans we run regular with have red d/q. :)

Shearing: AoE Shear has 150 radius, really only useful on Trains/Stacked targets. After playing Bard for so long, I basically use my insta-37 AoE mezz as if it was a single spell. The radius of the spell is just not that worthy to be considered an "AoE" spell. You have 2.0 Cast Speed Shears on a Shaman, there should be no problem stripping buffs during fights. You really don't have much to do besides Shear/Disease/Root/Rupt, you might as well make the best of it with an extra instant interrupt.

Healing: If you're healing that much on a Shaman, you're doing it wrong. You already have one extremely useful toy you should prioritize over healing in most cases - Shell.

Disease: The benefits of having instant-pbaoe Disease far outweigh the benefits of having Red D/Q and some lousy extra-mini heals. Healing, once again is not your priority as a Shaman. Next, as a Shaman you must stay in the middle-field of a fight as Endurance Regen has a short radius. I used to be yelled at all the time for being in the back-lines while tanks in the front ran out of endurance.

To each his own playstyle. There is no fix for stupidity, having an instant-pbae Disease opens up more possibilities of encountering fights. At least you have something to work with if you're being interrupted. I'd also assume running with Red Spells and spamming casted Disease would make induce more mana issues.

Aye, positioning is very important. Shaman should definitely be somewhere in the middle. Btw, if a tank train focuses shaman, that means healer is most likely free to heal and shaman won't explode, warrior has some time to get there for guard. Like you said, to each his own but the pbaoe insta disease is crazy spell, really awesome ****** :).

"He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. The warm intimacies of small, kindly things, the sentiments and delicious trivialities that make up so much of civilized men's lives were meaningless to him. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women."

it makes a difference... disease & snare together and you're like 90% snared or so...

also, if the target successfully breaks the snare (by turning, strafing etc., and you forgetting to draw away your weapon), he might be abel to get away due to lags. with disease on the target, youll just catch up and continue le penetration. :P

and ye, the 90% kinda thing is the most annoying thing ever on uthgard right now.

And most likely you won't be snared when fighting albgrps  For hibs thats true, you won't escape even with desease on the bms, BUT it still takes healer mana and time to cure it. Desease also decreases the enemy tank dmg by reducing it's strength and makes them vulnerable for potential kill attempts on them
