I can't find a thread discussing which mid-classes are used for standard farming and raiding. I'm thinking dia-farming, 5-mans and raids, respectively

Farming diamond seals with 5 people takes some time for everyone to get a decent amount of diamonds, so you might as well go with a "full" DF raid(except legion/worm/adremal). I did it a lot and it's sexy. Take 6 people and 2 of them shield tanks(allows you to have only 1 healer and it's easier to kill Oro, he is strong since the change). Grab 2x shield, aug or trispec with cele, shaman, zerk, skald. Make your way to midgard prince, kill him, then kill alb and hib prince. Go back to mid prince and check for repop(it's known to repop sometimes, small chance to repop so fast, but possible). Then go down to highlords/dommel. If you do not have full confidence in your group, do the first 2 highlords on the right(but avoid the duke, takes ages to kill for like 4 dia seals). Kill the 2 gimp highlords there and go back to the start, kill the one that looks like cthonic knight, then proceed to Oro. Oro has a big chance of dropping lot of nice stuff, + he always drops 40 diamonds. Once you are done with that, you can check Dommel again, make your way to hulks and roll there in the safe spot. If your group has a bit more time, check princes again. Many, many times this kind of raid ends up with 3-4 people having a nice item(highlords staff, brimstone shield, basalt sword, basalt LA, etc.) and you can make 2-3 big seal packs as loot. If you get so lucky to have 6 nice items, roll on items and give everyone the same amount of seals. I know it seems long, but if people don't slack, this raid will give you much more diamonds and some nice items in the same amount of time you would have to spend with 5 people farming only diamonds. "He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. The warm intimacies of small, kindly things, the sentiments and delicious trivialities that make up so much of civilized men's lives were meaningless to him. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women." |
