Hey,

There is some fresh blood trying to help with SI testing but never did a test on test servers before.
Here is a quick guide to get started.
Always make a chatlog by /chatlog testxy
This chatlog can be evaluated later on but it's always smart to make a quick check if everything works as expected before killing 1000 mobs and realizing that there is no chatlog due to misspelling etc..

#0 Do not talk about freeshards on test servers!

You never know if a employer is around. They can remove the test servers anytime and we run into big problems!
Ignore everyone you do not know.

#1 Make a copy of your DAoC folder and call it DAoCTest

#2 Open a test account

Open a test account here.
Enter any email address, you won't need to confirm it.

#3 Login

Start [camtest.exe] in your test server folder

#4 Getting started

i) Once you created your char you will start in the tutorial zone.
Just find some blue con mobs around the city and let them kill you.
Click [Release City] or use the command [/rel city]
Image
Image

ii) Inside the City head to the exit to Mularn / Cotswold / Mag Mell
Close to the exit you will find a mob called [Testermatic]
Image

iii) Write two macros
/macro q /q
/macro xp /whisper several levels bps gold dragon scales rr7

iv) Target the [Testermatic] and click your [q] macro and your [xp] macro.
You will get XP BPs Gold Dragon Scales and RPs and log out.
At the char screen just log back in, target [Testermatic] click the macros and repeat till you are 50.
Whisper to the [Testermatic] RR13 and visit your trainer for RAs and Skills.

#5 How to equip and respec

Go to the DF merchants and buy Seals on [Page 2] from the [Merchant] without tags like [Armor] or [Weapon].
Equip yourself with DF loot.
Scroll to [Page 1] to buy respec stones.
Please take care to not get 26 overcap or %melee bonus etc if you want to test correct values.
In Midgard they are next to the guild registrar and emblemeer.
In Hibernia they are at the forge.

#6 Buff NPCs

On the test server you can get almost cap buffs from NPCs.
Port to [Uppland] [Forest Sauvage] [Cruachan Gorge] in NF.
Buy a Full Buff token from the NPC and drag&drop it onto him.
You will get buffs which makes testing a lot easier.
Image

#7 Start testing

Before you start testing use [/relic] and [/bonuses] and make a screenshot to log relic bonuses and ToA bonuses if you did a mistake with equipment.

#8 Test NPCs

Outside the city there are Test NPCs.
In Albion they are at the Black Mountains South exit, to the left.
In Midgard they are at Mularn exit, to the left.
In Hibernia they are at Connacht exit, to the left.

[Right click] them and a popup will appear with various options.
For example you can change their level or tell them to stop attacking you.
By default they are level 50 and hit you with [thrust] [slash] or [crush] weapons.

That's nice and handy for all kinds of tests.

#9 ToA and other Equipment

For some test you just want a char with max stats.

i) Go to the DF merchants in the city.
Next to them there is a mob called [Celestius Loot Dispenser].
Target him and whisper him [Albion] [Midgard] [Hibernia] depending on your realm.
Now you get ML10 Weapons, Torso and Legs.
Delete all items you can not use and repeat whispering [Albion] [Midgard] [Hibernia] till you got all the drops you want.
Image

ii) Port to Svasud / Sauvage / Druim Ligen
There is a Bountypoint merchant where you can buy BP jewelery.
Image

iii) Port to Oceanus Hesperos and enter the Portal to the ToA start zone.
Here you can buy Master Levels and Artifacts for Bountypoints.
There are NPCs to buy MLs and Artifacts for Bountypoints and others for Atlantean Glass.
Just talk to the purple con once and drag&drop the Artifact / ML over the NPC who sold it.
Image

iv) In Jordheim / Camelot / TNN is a NPC with the tag [Order of the Dragonslayers].
They don't hide inside houses, they are on the way from the King to the exit somewhere.
He/she will sell you Dragon Drops and rewards from the Dragon campaign for Dragon Scales.
If you are low on Scales target [Testermatic] and click your [xp] macro several more times till you have 5k Dragon Scales (without relogging).

Once you reach level 50 you can go to the throne room to get your epic armor + jewelry sets without having to bother with DF seals. The stats are decent, not over the top, and you get it quick. Talk to the king, who gives you two insta-finish quests, one of which is to visit the epic wares merchant to the right.

The thing that is being mostly tested right now, is to kill mobs to identify the mobs drop rate.
Need atleast 200 kills of every kind of mob in the entire SI zone.

So what you do, is get to a lvl you want, find some mobs and kill em 200 times.
Easier if you get to a lvl wherethe mobs are green to you, which means faster killing. Just be sure that the mobs arent grey, since that will screw up the drop rate chance.
Always have /chatlog on, my advice is to check it every 15 minute just to be sure it's on.

http://www.speedyshare.com/GyEVH/DaocUt ... rogram.exe
You can use this program to check how many of a certain mob you have killed.

How to use the program is pretty straight forward, but if you cant figure out to use it im on irc atleast once a day for questions about it, else send me a pm over the forums here.

Few things the program is lacking:
- Cant search for named mobs(actually the newest version I have can, but havent uploaded it yet)
- The chatlog has to be turned of in the game, else the program wont be able to load the chatlog(I have a fix for that alrdy, but havent implemented it yet)
- If there are more kind of mobs, who have like the same name, lets say giant lion and giant lion rawr, the giant lion rawr will get counted with when you just search for the giant lion.(Have the solution for that, also just need to implement it)

I've made an irc channel on quakenet, #SI-research, feel free to join and ask questions if you have any.

About the spreadsheet, i need you to send me your gmail, so I can invite you to the google docs, where its possible to see what kind of mobs alrdy have been killed.

Theres still alot of testing needed besides just the drop rate, but it's a good place to start.

If any questions, just ask away and i ll try to reply asap.

Ps. ALWAYS HAVE CHATLOG ON WHEN YOU ARE ON LIVE
